To cap off my S6 rewatch, here is a run through of the special features on the DVD AND Bluray discs!

We're full of clocks! )

I hope you all enjoyed my S6 rewatch! In the next couple of days, I'll start slowly updating If Clothes Could Talk in my spare time. I will, of course, post a heads-up when it's completely updated and ready for all your clothing-inquiry needs.

I have made my Nov. 1st deadline! Yay!
hells_half_acre: (Bloody)
Finally at the Finale! You know, I was looking forward to being finished with my rewatches, but now I'm kind of sad that they are over. :P

This is an interesting episode in terms of Sam's clothes. Both Soulless!Sam and Hell!Sam are wearing the clothes that Sam wore when he fell. BlankSlate!Sam (or Sam!Sam, as I call him, because it's fun to say) is wearing the clothes he was wearing when Cas hurt him.

CARRY ON MY WAYWARD SON....
.
Sounds sexy, exit stage Crowley. )

...dun dun...DONE!

Now it's just a quick run through of the special features, and I can put my S6 DVDs on the shelf for a bit. :)
hells_half_acre: (Crying Dean)
The depression continues!! Woo!

Seriously, as much as I love these rewatches, this month has been SO BUSY with them...I'm looking forward to being done. This is always such a harder endeavour than I remember.

I DO enjoy it, but I guess usually I don't have a deadline. It takes me about 4 hours to go through an episode, type this post up, and then catalogue the clothes. It's quite the job.

Dean wore ONE thing throughout this entire episode, whereas Sam had three different outfits. Unbeknownst to anyone, I've slowly started making a list of clothes by episode over on the master post for If Clothes Could Talk, and I've noticed that Sam habitually wears more clothes than Dean in any given episode. My conclusion: Dean must smell a little. Hahaha.

Anyway, let's get on with the actual substance of the episode here...
.
Wow, you must be catnip to the ladies )

Ok! One more to go, and then I'll talk a bit about the special features, and then I'm done! Yay! All that will be left is to start posting the clothes. :)
hells_half_acre: (...shit)
Ok, now we get to Castiel. Let's see what he's been up to...

Some notes:
1)Clothing was easy for the Winchesters - the problem was remembering to pay attention to them. :P
2)Man, this episode is HORRIBLY DEPRESSING. I would offer to give Castiel a hug, but it'd be the most awkward hug ever...and I've had some pretty awkward hugs.
You know who spies on people, Cas? Spies. )

Ok! So, that was a heavy episode to take on....

Tonight I'm going to a Halloween party. I'm going to watch Supernatural on the east coast feed first, but then I'm going to go to the party - which means that I'll still be typing up my quick reaction around midnight, but the episode won't be as fresh in my head. So, we'll see how it goes!
hells_half_acre: (Crowley)
Next up, Mommy Dearest...

It occurred to me this morning that technically the clothes in Frontierland are costumes, and therefore can't go in the Clothing Catalogue. I was kind of bummed about that, even though it would save me a lot of work...so, I made an exception for the duster and Sam's white shirt. Just because I happen to really like coats, and I make the rules, so I can break them if I want.

I'm kind of not in the mood to do this today, but I really do want to get done before November, so I'll do it anyway! I always enjoy Supernatural, even when I'm not feeling as ethusiastic as usual. I also don't think it helps that we're getting to the episodes that I've seen recently. I haven't given myself enough time to forget them.

Anyway, let's see what we see...
Jefferson Starships - because they're horrible and hard to kill. )

Now, with the rest of my afternoon, I think I might go to the hardware store and buy screws so that I can fix the inside doorknob on the front-door of my apartment. It comes off in your hand at the moment. If I don't fix it, I fear that I might actually DIAF, because it takes me about two minutes to open the door. Isn't my life thrilling?

I do have a physio appointment today too, which will be nice :) Also, more good news on that front: because I am poor, the BC government WILL pay for my physio appointments! So yay! Cute physiotherapist AND I don't have to pay to see him. Life is not that bad after all! I'm glad I live in Canada.
hells_half_acre: (Jensen Uber Alles)
Frontierland! I've probably watched this episode the most out of S6. It's so much fun...plus, Jensen looks REALLY good as a cowboy...

The clothes will be VERY interesting in this...actually, I got so distracted capping the clothes, that I forgot to think critically about the episode from time to time...

Anyway, let's jump in and see how I did!

Good episode.

Until tomorrow, folks....

hells_half_acre: (Sneaky Castiel)
Ok! Back to funny...

More complicated clothes in this one. Sam has a new plaid shirt (bless the boy, but I am running out of plaid shirt descriptions.)

Anyway, let's get started...

Accidents just don't happen accidentally! )

In other news, my ankle (or as I like to call it "the last remnant of VanCon2011") is improving quickly! Yay! The bad news, of course, is that means that my time with the cute physiotherapist guy is finite. I posted about it on facebook, and my uncle wrote: "Perhaps you should go for a walk along the cobblestone streets of Gastown to contemplate your predicament." Hahaha.

Tune in tomorrow for Frontierland!

So, in the style of Supernatural, we go from a super funny episode to a super depressing one.
The upshot is that this should be a fairly easy clothing episode, since it's so contained.
Don't get me wrong though, the contained-incident is one of favourite plot thingies (I'm so coherent today), it's just a little hard to watch, because it's so INTENSE.

So, let's get started...
I want you and you to watch him and him...if anything crawls out of anybody somebody step on it! )

So, now that we've wrapped up the Campbell arc, we'll start getting into Cas' downward spiral in the next episode! Fun times! See you then...
hells_half_acre: (Ladles are funny)
French Mistake! Woo!!

The trick with this one will be not copying out every single line of dialogue just to tell you how much I love it.

Also, just a note: a VERY easy clothing episode. They don't even take off their coats for very long.

Let's start!

COMMENTARY!

In other news, I had about an hour and a half to kill today, so I put together the first 28 seconds of my first-ever Supernatural vid! Woo! Look for it to come out in...um...months from now, because it takes forever to make!
hells_half_acre: (Headdesk)
Ok, so, by rewatch and clothing catalogue necessity, I must watch this episode again - as I recall, this one was the weakest of the season. However, I do believe there are SOME good moments...(though a bit of a warning, I am in a little bit of a bad mood today...)

Wait, that anatomy dummy you were molesting at the lab- )

Ok! Well, I survived! Yay! Next episode is The French Mistake and it has commentary! Yay! I love commentary! :)

hells_half_acre: (Worried!Sam)
I don't have many notes, but again, that's no reflection of my enjoyment of the episode.

I was actually able to recognize the clothes in black&white! Woo! You know you spend too much time looking at the Winchester's clothes when...

Ok, let's dive right in...

What? The boxed stuff doesn't get better with age, Don! )

So, short one today! Which means I have plenty of time to do other stuff! I've got a demented'verse fic written, but I might wait until next week to post it.

hells_half_acre: (Hug)
Ok! Late with this one today...

Clothes were complicated again. Sam changed TWICE while Dean was in San Francisco. I may have to revise my day count in the timeline.

I prefer ladies with experience. )

Ok! So, this one was late, but hopefully I can knock another one off tomorrow before I head to my friends place to see the new episode! Yay!
hells_half_acre: (DarkSam)
Ok, after the controversy that was yesterday's rewatch - let's continue with something a little more light-hearted and filled with puppies!

Notes:
1)Clothes were once again easy. They both wore the exact same thing the entire episode.
2)My rewatch notes are pretty short, so I might not actually have that much to say about this one - that doesn't reflect how much I liked it though!

Don't roll your eyes, Dean, it's impolite. )

Well, that was fun! I'm trying to do one of these per day, now, because I really want to finish up before November, when I start working again and The Novel Project starts.
hells_half_acre: (Sam Shirtless)
Caged Heat! This will be different knowing what we know now...

Random points before we get started:
1)The clothes were easy in this episode. They wore the same stuff the whole time. The only thing I had to keep track of was when they took off their jackets.
2)This is possible the most controversial episode of S6, at least when it comes to the mentions and possible depictions of sexual-violence. I will probably piss people off in my handling of this delicate topic, but *shrug*
.
Dean: 'I'm standing in pee.' Sam: 'Consider yourself lucky.' )

Well, that was fun! Please try not to re-open the can of worms that was opened the first time we all watched this episode? As I recall, I ended up doing several posts about those issues and talked them to death. If you really feel the need to restate your opinion, go ahead, but I won't be engaging in any of the debate myself.
hells_half_acre: (Ladles are funny)
Wooo! EDLUND!!! (imagine a rock concert, I guess - I'm a bit sleepy, so I'm trying to jazz myself up.) Honestly though, this is a good episode. Edlund always comes through.

COMMENTARY

And that's that. It was nice to have some commentary to listen to.

Until next time...let me know what I missed and/or majorly screwed up talking about...
hells_half_acre: (On the Fence)
So, I remember this episode as being one of the weaker episodes of the season - let's see how it does on rewatch...

So, I was thinking, you're right. I'm not your brother. I'm not Sam )

Until next time...
hells_half_acre: (Scary!Dean)
Woo! After a week hiatus - let's get back to rewatching S6, shall we?

When your kind first huddled around the fire, I was the thing in the dark! )

Yay! Ok, I've gotta take off to a cafe and kill a few hours soon...so, until next time...or tomorrow night's new episode, whichever comes first!
hells_half_acre: (Sam Winchester Top Chef)
Ok! After a short break from rewatch posts, let's tackle the sixth episode of the sixth season...

How is it that half the time you clean a mess, you end up dirty? )

And that's that. My house sitting days are over - so as of tomorrow I'll be back in my cold* apartment with my DVDs and my laptop, and not a huge HDTV and a Bluray player. You guys will probably not notice a difference....but I will! :P

*our heat is broken and apparently the landlord is "thinking" about what to do about it. Sigh.

hells_half_acre: (Crying Dean)
This is the second time I've had to do the notes for this rewatch, because my computer hung and I lost all my earlier notes. So, now I'm doing the notes while I do the clothing catalogue...so, we'll see if I notice more or less...or I will, since I'm the only one who might remember what my notes looked like before. I've also had a couple glasses of wine and eaten a whole pizza...

You look pretty )

In completely unrelated news: I was watching my friend's Undeclared DVDs. Do any of you remember Undeclared? It was a short lived sitcom by Judd Apatow starring Jay Baruchel and Seth Rogen? Anyway...Tom Welling was in the very first episode, and according to the commentary it was his first gig ever as a professional actor! ..and then he got the Superman part 2 weeks later. He is so very young and pretty in it. Also, Loudon Wainwright played the Dad! I didn't even realize that back when I watched...I'm a fan of his son, Rufus. Anyway, it was cool to watch while I drank wine and ate pizza.
hells_half_acre: (Bobby says we're morons)
Woot! Jensen's directorial debut! Let's check it out again...

I'm not an imbecile, Bobby )

Alright, that's that episode. I guess next week is Jensen's second directorial outing...I'm sure it'll be just as good, if not better!
