Do I have a preamble tonight? I don't think so... I hope you have all had a good week! Next week it the finale - amazing! And then I'll get the timeline uploaded, and then MAYBE I'll finally get S13's clothes done.

No drinking tonight, because I had to drive. Hopefully you all forgive me. :)

Okay folks, get ready to strap into this rollercoaster...

Listen, before I even do the cut, I'm going to be honest - by about twenty minutes into this episode, I was so pissed off that if I hadn't had this tradition of writing it up after and talking with you all about it, I probably would have bailed. I'm glad I stuck through, because the show (almost) turned it around for me in the last five minutes. BUT BUT... at about twenty minutes in, I chugged a glass of wine, because it was my only recourse - and in preparation for writing it up, I have made myself a tall vodka-ginger and sipped HEAVILY...

BUT there are rules, and I'm going to go over them now, for my own benefit - no matter how annoyed I get, I like liking things - so I'm still going to talk about all the stuff I did like - and I except you to do the same, got it? Now, I'm not expecting other people to have actually had the same reaction I did, because it's not like this episode was written badly, it just wasn't written to my specific tastes, and there's nothing wrong with that - I am not the only SPN fan (shock, I know.)

Okay, now that I'm reminded of the rules - let's get into it....

Hello! I managed to get this done before Thursday! Yay! 

I had a really great week visiting my sister, and a really fun weekend at Emerald City Comic-Con. I didn't do anything SPN related there... mostly bought art that I don't have room to hang, and more comics to add to my 9" high stack of unread comics... but in so doing I became a patron of the arts in just a small capacity.

Then, yesterday, when I got back home, I binged Queer Eye, because that had been released while I was away and I always have to devour that show in as close to one go as I can. :P

So, FINALLY, I was able to test out a friends VPN (it worked!) and watch SPN on the CW site, like the sneaky Canadian that I am.

Let's get into it...

HELLO!

Welcome to the 300th episode!! I can hardly believe it. I've been doing these Quick Reactions since just before the 100th. 

In those days, I watched the show with my sister on an old non-HD TV that was permanently set to "dark" and so I couldn't see any action that happened in a dark room. MEMORIES! It was the year after that I met my local friend who started having me over on SPN night for dinner, wine, and the show...and that's what we still do to this day. 

So, since I have indeed had wine, the usual rules apply - I have watched the show once, while taking crappy notes and drinking. Quotes are not meant to be accurate.

And before I get into it, I'd just like to thank all those who still read my ramblings all these years later, even though LJ is now a mostly dead platform.

Now, let's actually get into it...

Looks like the show is on hiatus until March 7th! (with a concerning preview for the next episode, that I'll just try not to get too anxious over). So that gives me a whole month to try to get a little bit ahead in my rewatches and other projects!

Alright, so, no telling when this episode takes place - but hopefully Dean still has a chance to have a better birthday than this....

I hope everyone's week is going a little better than mine!

Not that anything is really wrong, it's just that overall, I've had kind of a bad week... so, I hope you'll forgive me if my energy isn't up on this one. Though I'll try my best! I wasn't drinking tonight, because I fell yesterday and hurt my left knee and right ankle, and as a result decided that I'd prefer to drive to my friend's place rather than walk. :P So, no booze for me!

Other than that, business as usual! Let's start this....

(And yes, I did forget to do a rewatch last weekend - my apologies. I'm trying to do Nanowrimo this month, and as a result, my free time has diminished, so if I forget to do something on the weekend, there's not much time in the week to make it up. Regardless, I will endeavour to remember to rewatch 13x02 this weekend.)
