I figured I would weigh in on the Chuck debate...

Who was Chuck Shurley? )

Let me know what you think...

AN to Chapter 1: Here it is folks! I hope you enjoy it!

Summary: In which Dean gets a phone call, Sam gets a head wound, and Harry's logic gets questioned.

Really, if Dean had taken some time to think about, it was no time to be answering his cell phone. Also, since when had he programmed his ringtone to say his name? )Chapter 2
hells_half_acre: (Bored Sam)

All behind the cut for those who want to avoid spoilers )

Alright, well there isn't much point to this post, I'm just bored. So I'll go now.
hells_half_acre: (Crying Dean)

guh. )
ETA: I don't know about you, but I can't hear Wayward Son by Kansas anymore without crying a little (on the inside).
hells_half_acre: (Worried!Sam)
Ok, ok, I'll stop spamming you...but first look at this!:

Man, I'm so excited.

Ok, I'm off until my reaction post now, I promise!
hells_half_acre: (Worried!Sam)

I think my palms were sweating for that whole episode...

Deep breath and let's do this... )

So...is it next week yet?
hells_half_acre: (Worried!Sam)

To make up for the past two weeks of watching the East Coast feed - this week I had to watch the West Coast feed and then wait a half an hour before I could get on the internet. Good news is that my Mum is visiting! Yay! I have already apologized for being antisocial this evening and watching the show and then jumping on the internet and ignoring her....

It's the Supernatural equivalent of the 6th Harry Potter book... )

So, thoughts?
hells_half_acre: (...shit)
Had to watch the east coast feed again tonight, because Susie's going out on the town...next week I'll be back on West Coast feed though.

Anyway, on with the show...

NOOOooooo! Oh, wait...yay! Wait..no...NOOOOOOOooooo!!!! )

3 episodes left!!! Oh man...
hells_half_acre: (Worried!Sam)
I watched the East Coast feed again this week - it just worked out TV juggling-wise, and ironically it allows me to "watch" along with other Westcoasters over at spn_westcoast at 9pm.

IT'S THE 100th EPISODE!!! (it's long folks!)

Let's get down to business!...the FAMILY BUSINESS! )

So, "the point of no return" was used in my driving lessons as the point you pass where if the light turns yellow, you don't have time to stop.

Only, my Mum and I shared this huge van that had really shoddy brakes...so, when we saw a yellow light, most of the time we just called out "point of no return!" as a warning to each other that we were running the light because our point of no return was way earlier than everyone else's. I was never sure if it was a joke about our crappy brakes, an excuse to run a light, or announcing that we were aware of the fact that we very well might die this time. :-P
hells_half_acre: (Shocked!Dean)

For scheduling proposes, we watched the East Coast feed tonight, so here are my thoughts 3 hours earlier than expected!

You bastard! )

Ok, so that was much shorter than usual - more reactions, less recap.
hells_half_acre: (Lost in the open road)

One man's heaven...

...is the Bloedel Conservatory )
Now I'm going download it, because there was a WEALTH of time-line information in there.

Title: Bobby and Hermione - An Epistolary Fic
Author: ME!
Rating: PG
Genre: Gen (of course)
Spoilers: From Supernatural 4x14 and 5x10
Length: 6,975 words
A/N: A little treat for those who liked Damned Demented Demons. My initial goal was to start posting the sequel on April 1st (a year to the day that I started posting the original), but sadly life has gotten in the way and it's not ready yet. So, in the meantime, you get this! It teases the sequel a bit :-)

Summary: A year of letters between Bobby Singer and Hermione Granger.

Sam insisted that I assure you that 'the delay in responding to you was entirely his and Dean's fault, and not in any way a reflection of misgivings on my part due to what you are' - his words. )
hells_half_acre: (Think Sam Think!)
Ok, I'm going to do something I rarely do, and speculate...though it's not really speculation, it's more like HOPING. I talk about some spoilers from the recent Con, but please keep in mind that I don't read a lot of spoilers - so if you know things I don't, don't tell me! I don't want to have the plots/guest-stars of upcoming episodes spoiled for me.

About the S5 Finale - SPOILERS FROM LA CON )
hells_half_acre: (Bobby Ex Machina)
Oh man, my sister decided to buy a mandolin from someone in Richmond - so we hopped on the skytrain at 6:40 to go get it, and there and back took SO LONG that we basically RAN from the bus stop to our apartment and made it JUST IN TIME to see the very last scene of the THEN recap.

Bobby Needs A Hug )

So, a nice mix of myth-arc and MOTW. Mainly, I'm just so damn happy to have the show airing new episodes! Woo!
hells_half_acre: (Bobby says we're morons)
I had a thought last night as I was falling asleep, specifically, about Bobby and the mysterious gut-wound that somehow paralyzed him from the waist down even though that's not anatomically possible.

I've rationalized it before by saying that maybe Zach paralyzed Bobby, because he threatened to do so before Castiel showed up - and Castiel told him to "put these boys back together" but didn't say anything about Bobby.

But the other thing that just occurred to me is that Bobby was possessed! We still don't know how Bobby CAME to be possessed. We don't know what happened between Bobby being possessed and Bobby showing up with the Impala. And what was one of the very many lessons on demon possession learned in Devil's Trap back in S1?:

Demons can heal a body AS LONG AS THEY ARE IN IT. As soon as Dean got 'Meg' out of Meg Masters, Meg Masters died, because she had been thrown from a window and shot. Once the demon is no longer in the body, all injuries incurred return...and while a demon is in a body, injuries have no effect. Bobby shot Ruby with a defunct Colt and all it did was ruin her shirt - she was still walking around the rest of the season with a bullet in her heart. The guy in the Hunter-couple we met in the Magnificent Seven drank draino - which would have destroyed his vocal chords (along with killing him) but a demon was able to yell for the guys wife using the dude's body an hour or so later.

Basically, what I'm saying is that, Bobby's lower spine could very well have been irreparably damaged BEFORE he stabbed himself - it could have happened in whatever scuffle there was when the demon attempted to possess him.

Mystery SOLVED.
