Day 3 also started at 10am, so I had a bit of cereal before I left my house to tide me over and then I went to go have another breakfast with Jared and Jensen...

WARNING: It's nearly 3am and I am NOT going to take the time to go through this and try to block out potential spoilers. There really aren't that many, and the ones that are there are really small...and won't kill you to read. Also, I apologize for any typos/mispellings.

How many nights have we been in Canada? )

It was a great weekend. To everyone that I managed to catch up with: It was great seeing you again! To everyone I didn't get a chance to talk to: I'm sorry I missed you! I hope we get a second chance to meet in the future!

(I'm sorry these reports are so late this year. You'll see, as you read, just how much of the day the con takes up...but in addition to that, I was unfortunate enough this year to contract a cold while I was at the Con, so I'm not working at peak efficiency at the moment. If the Supernatural cast gets sick, I swear it wasn't me...I'm just a fellow victim.)

Maybe if I were out with my friends...on a table with a bottle of vodka... )

Okay, I'm finally home (I feel like crap though...I need sleep.)...but I'm going to have a little rest and then start typing up my long reports. In the meantime though, here is point form Sunday:

Breakfast
-Jared is an adorable second grader.
-It is hilarious to watch Jensen be completely baffled by the things that come out of Jared's mouth (or affectionately exasperated by the things Jared does)...even after 8 years.

J2 Panel
-Jensen was really relaxed this year and hilarious.
-Jared accidentally called Jensen Dean....
-Jensen is a good auctioneer...but the audience really made him laugh when Jared announced that if it got up to $8,000 that Jensen would be included. Jared did end up making $8,000 to go to charity (I didn't actually catch the name of it, but it sounds like it's for veterans of the current US wars.)

Autographs - got Jared to show me his bracelet. Jensen, as usual, was just a smile and a thank you (but that's good enough for me!)

Richard Panel
-Richard is really such a good people-person...he's so amazing at working a crowd.
-It was also a lesson in: Why you do not leave the Con just because J2 are finished...because Richard was joined by both Jensen AND Jared part way through his panel. It was amazing to see the boys in a much more relaxed panel, and a joking-around-with-Richard mood. ...apparently Richard's moustache turns Jared into a sexual predator. :P

Much more detail coming...but first, a bit of food and a rest.

Today was so long, I'm not even sure if I can do a point form post - I only hope I remember it well enough to fill in around my notes when I type them up (Sunday night? Monday?) Anyway, let's give it a go:

-Russ Hamilton is still Russ Hamilton
-Julie McNiven is SO TINY and adorable...but seriously TINY...I don't even know how Jensen didn't break her (okay, that sounded way dirtier than I meant it to.)
-I could listen to Mark Sheppard talk about acting/television/writing/characters ALL DAY.
-Couldn't resist and ended up buying Mark Pellegrino photo-op and Mark Sheppard photo-op. I regret nothing (though, I haven't seen the pictures yet, so who knows, I may end up regretting it.)
-Richard and Matt can work the room just as well as always...very entertaining and great timing. At the end, rather then send questioners back to their seats, they did "speed questions." Also, Richard does great impressions of his coworkers/friends.
-Misha and Jim were also great comedians together - the absolute best though was when someone asked about Gishwhes and Jim suggested to Misha that he find a language that's not on google translate and release the rules to Gishwhes in that language - Misha's face did this WONDERFUL thing...like he had just heard the best thing he had ever heard in his life. I wish I had still had my camera out for it. Also, Misha told some great stories about how awesome his wife is...and how West obviously takes after him. :P
-Cocktail party was...long....and we didn't seem to have as much time with the actors as last year. Also, everyone was exhausted - but we still had a good time.

Alright....I'm SO TIRED. Tomorrow is Jared and Jensen...and I think more Richard.

Now I sleep.

There is no possible way my lengthy reports are going to be typed up before Monday. It's 2am and I just got home, and I don't even know if I'm going to be able to wake up tomorrow....

But here is today in brief in order to tide you over:

-Kim Rhodes is awesome and an entertainer.
-Julian Richings is a sweetheart.
-Steve Carlson won me over by having a sense of humour that showed why he and Jensen ("Jay") are friends, and well, really he won me over because he likes Tom Petty NEARLY as much as I do. (Also, he's releasing two albums this year - one will have Jensen singing lead on one of the songs, the other will feature songs they wrote together.)
-Steve Carlson acoustic is my kind of music - I liked him without the full band, less of a country sound...but I DO feel like giving his albums another try.
-Karoake....once again, SO AWESOME and blew the roof off the place. Biggest surprise of the night: Mark Pellegrino is a secret sex god, who looks WAY better in person then in photographs and on TV (seriously - I found him not-attractive at all on SPN, but HOT DAMN.) Usually I have to wait until Sunday before my sexuality is confirmed, but he gave me the verdict early - still very much heterosexual over here. He sang Sweet Transvestite from Rocky Horror...and with that memory in mind...I'll be in my bunk.

As my friend said, "Lucifer never moved his hips like that"...we both agreed that it should probably be illegal.

Don't fret - I WILL still type up my long reports - I've got COPIOUS amounts of notes. But I don't have TIME...so it will probably have to wait until Sunday night or Monday. I also DID take pictures (and video of kareoke, though I sadly missed Sweet Transvestite, because my camera ran out of batteries when I tried to film it.)

Now Sleepy McSleeperton must go to bed.

Well, technically it began today, but not for me. Several lucky people, including [livejournal.com profile] missyjack, got to go on the Location Tour and see the Supernatural backlot. I am beyond jealous, as that's something I had been hoping to see last year, but sadly there was filming on the backlot that day and we couldn't go...also, as some of you may remember, it was the day that the backlot caught fire. In an unrelated event since then, the backlot was shut-down because WorkSafe BC declared it too hazardous - but, I know there was a large budget movie coming to town that was going to fix it up, so I guess that happened. Anyway, I'm looking forward to the reports...

I'm going for early registration tonight. And then the festivities kick off tomorrow :)

I was pleased with mostly all of my photo-ops last year, so I've decided not to get any this year. I don't need more than one picture of me and the boys, no matter how nice it is to hug them for three seconds.

I'm looking forward to seeing Mark Sheppard and Julian Richings. I've been debating whether I want to get an autograph ticket for Sheppard (his autograph isn't included in my ticket, like the others are.) Right now, I'm thinking that yes, I probably do...I don't have anything special for him to sign, sadly, so hopefully Creation has something nice.

The part you care about is probably my reports though...as usual, I'll be bringing my notebook and taking copious amounts of notes whenever I get a spare minute. This year, I also (for once) have a good quality camera. So, I'm going to try to take some good pictures (hopefully). I'm sitting FAIRLY far back (while still in the gold section) so I'm not sure how good my line of sight is going to be. I also don't want to sacrifice EXPERIENCING the Con for the sake of getting pictures. So, we'll see. Although my camera does take good videos, I'm not going to be attempting to videotape. I'll leave that to people who are more experienced with hiding from the volunteers that walk around and tell you to stop.

With the Gold Ticket, I don't get as much time to type up my notes as I had when I had the silver ticket...so, although I usually try to get the reports out on the same day as I get them, it might be that you'll get all three days posted on Monday.

So, to those who are going to VanCon, I look forward to seeing you there! To those who aren't going, I'll do my best to take notes for you and be a good little reporter. :)

If you are going to VanCon and you want to say hello, I'll be sitting in H23. It's easy to remember, because H stands for "Hells Half Acre" and 23 is my age of maturity. :P

I actually timelined my demented'verse last night, because it was driving me crazy that I could never keep it straight in my head.

Anyway, after doing so, I realized that I might actually be able to write a story that's been in my head for a while at the end of S8. I know that's like 10 months from now, but still! It's all because of the S8 spoilers from ComicCon,

because if they do skip a year between S7 and S8, which it sounds like they will, then the end of S8 will be in 2015...which is the year that this story idea has to take place. Of course, this will all be a moot point depending on the cliff-hanger that S8 leaves us with....anyway, now I'm just rambling, but I was excited!

In other news, VanCon is in a month and I have no idea what I'm getting signed this year. I should work on that. Last year I had [livejournal.com profile] raloria make me up a collage type thing for the "angels" to sign. I liked that, but I really should think of something that I can make myself. I also want to get Mark Sheppard to sign something, but I don't know what. Decisions decisions...

The Gold ticket came through! Yay!

So, to all you going to VanCon - I will see you there!

To all you not going to VanCon - I will tell you about it at extreme length as per usual. ;)
hells_half_acre: (Worried!Sam)
I hope being overly picky about the price and seat placement of VanCon ticket re-sells isn't going to bite me in the ass.

I just don't want to spend that much and I want to sit in the middle....and I'm willing to sacrifice one for the other, but I'm not willing to sacrifice on both.
