I just saw Kevin Tran at my grocery store. :)

Well, okay, he was way too happy to be Kevin Tran, so really, it was Osric Chau.

No interaction, I just saw him. I had a little heart attack as I usually do when I see someone where I didn't expect to see them and it feels like I've been plunged into a parallel dimension for a brief second, but I didn't even break stride. I had samosas to buy and Oscric had a companion to laugh with, those are better things to accomplish than having awkward conversations.

In related news: Vancouver is a pretty rad place to live, really, even when it's a miserably rainy day.

That is very cool, and good for you for leaving him be. Even actors deserve to be a little anonymous every now and then. Now, would you have done the same if it had been Jensen or Jared??????

Haha, actually, I probably would have. I'm just not the "approach people" type.

Yea, I'm kind of the same way, but if I saw Jensen in a store, and he was by himself, I don't know, I might brave it an approach him. I don't think I would ask for a picture or autograph, I would just want to take the time to say Hi and to tell him how much I appreciate his work, and then see what happens.

Many many years ago I was in Las Vegas with my parents, we were for the weekend to watch this new show with Michael Crawford, and as we were waiting to go into the theatre we saw Brad Maule, this favorite actor of me and my mom's from the Soap Opera General Hospital. I was so excited to see him. He was with his family and we didn't want to intrude, but that didn't stop me from watching his every move, where he went, what he was doing, etc. If he would have been alone, I might have approached him, but with his kid, no, not gonna do it.

Yeah, if Osric had been alone, I may have said hi - but he was with a friend and I didn't want to make it weird. :P

If I ever ran into someone at a place where it WAS possible to watch their every move, I probably would even if I tried not to. As it is though, I've only ever seen people as we walk in opposite directions.

You could always change your direction and kinda follow them around a little bit. Not stalkerish in any way, but still, it would be lurking around.

I have a very low threshold for what feels stalkerish, and changing direction falls under that category for me.

Seriously, really the only place I'm comfortable interacting with actors is at conventions. Otherwise, they have to be doing the same thing I'm doing in the same place in order for me to not feel like a stalker.

I agree with you. It would feel weird to lurk around someone. I doubt I would approach anyone either. Although Jensen.........that would be a hard one not to approach.
