B'ah - The Novel Project

How do you end a novel that's completely lost it's point or perhaps never had one?
Seriously, this thing need to be completely revamped, but I at least want to write the final sentence on the first draft so that I can claim that I at least have a first draft done.
I also want to take a good two or three months where I don't have to look at the stupid thing.
Ugh...sorry folks, really hating on my own work right now.

ETA: I didn't sign up to be a reader on your novel project because I doubted my ability to remember what was going on chapter to chapter without the handy shortcuts that are part and parcel of fic, but I would really like one day to get a peek at it.

Probably wise of you. I've made everybody wait nearly 3 months now for the last installment because my summer vacation/lack of any idea how to wrap this thing up got in the way. If you were still interested (even with the rave review I just gave it), I could send the "completed" first draft to you once I'm done.

Date: 2012-09-05 12:40 pm (UTC)I thought you had the plot and the final chapter thought out. It's good, keep doing what you were doing and the story will work it self out. Maybe you are trying to fit it in to a specific number of chapters and maybe you might need more than you were planning.
Looking forward to read more (chin up! you are doing fine).

Date: 2012-09-05 05:48 pm (UTC)Maybe I should send out what I have and then ask people what information they think wasn't wrapped up...and then send out an "epilogue part 2" or something. :P
