I am a firm believer in hating one's writing as part of the process. The most painful part, but possibly a necessary one. I think sometimes when you hate something and you just want to get it OVER WITH and you're just pounding out the final chapters, that's when your subconscious gets to sneak in a lot of stuff into the writing. And then, when a little time has passed and you look at it with new eyes, then you notice themes or resolutions lurking in the background that you never consciously put there...and that's the stuff you can expand to make the story the best version of itself.

Which is a very long way of saying Rah! Rah! Rah! Go you!

ETA: I didn't sign up to be a reader on your novel project because I doubted my ability to remember what was going on chapter to chapter without the handy shortcuts that are part and parcel of fic, but I would really like one day to get a peek at it.
