Messed around with Movie Maker today...

...I think I might be able to make that vid that I want to make! It'll take me a heck of a long time, and I have to figure out how to sync the music, and sketch out my ideas...but yeah...
Movie Maker seems a bit limited in music-editing, so that's a bit worrying...but hopefully I can figure it out.
So, you know, I'll just add that to my huge list of projects that I don't have time for. Seriously, how am I expected to get a job when I have so much to do! :P
Rough list:
1)Finish S6 Rewatch
2)Finish cataloguing S6 clothes.
3)Write fanfic
4)Work on as-of-yet-not-revealed major project (will be revealed on Wednesday).
5)Work on event/knowledge timeline.
6)Make vid
7)Write meta
8)Get a job so that I can afford the internet...and you know, food and shelter and such.
9)Work on as-of-yet-not-revealed craft project (seriously, why did I try to do this craft project the most difficult way possible? It's taking for frickin' ever.)
You know, it's nice that I find all my Supernatural-related projects fulfilling, but sometimes I wish I didn't find them THAT fulfilling...what happened to the days where I could sit around and watch hours of television every night? There used to be a time where I would sleep all day just because I couldn't think of anything else to do...mind you, that got pretty depressing after a while...so, I guess that answers my question. I can't have my cake and eat it too.
At least items 1 and 2 will be done before the end of October....and hopefully item 8 too, because whores will have their trinkets.

Date: 2011-10-03 04:23 pm (UTC)No worries though, although sign-up starts Wednesday, the first chapter won't go out until November (gives me time to finish my rewatches)...so there will be plenty of time for people to find the post and sign up.
That being said - I will add you to the list right now. I believe I already have your email address. :)

Date: 2011-10-03 09:24 pm (UTC)Just try it! I just popped in a Supernatural episode and then randomly decided to isolate one scene and splice together all the shots of Dean...and that's how I taught myself those functions. But yeah, I've mostly just used "splice" "start point" and "end point"...and then played with the speed.

Date: 2011-10-03 09:32 pm (UTC)I just realized I'm not even talking about the same software. I have iMovie, not Movie Maker. Sorry for the confusion.

Date: 2011-10-06 09:59 pm (UTC)I have toyed with idea of vidding, and Macs have a program already built in that I could probably use, but, I don't have any ideas at the moment, and I am afraid that if I do something, then I will be sucked into those kinds of projects, hence gobbling up more of my spare time.
Alas, being a super-fan of Supernatural is indeed a rather time-consuming habit, albeit, a very fulfilling and fun habit, one that I don't intend of diminishing or losing anytime soon. I also have all kinds of projects I would like to do, of course, all SPN related.
It's crazy isn't it? Gosh, I love this show and everything involved with this show. :)

Date: 2011-10-06 10:07 pm (UTC)I'm not sure if I'm going to make a habit out of vidding. I decided to try it once, and since I have so much else on the go, I'm not exactly working very hard at it. I've cut clips out of 3 of the 10 or so episodes that I want to use - and I have 6 minutes of clips for a 3 minute song...so, um, yeah...obviously, still have a lot of work to do.
We'll see how it goes. I may give up :P It's too early to tell.
