LJ still won't let me add pics to my last post (or edit it properly)...so, let's do this instead.
QUESTION: If Sherlock Holmes (current BBC version) could buy anything (inexpensive) from Diagon Alley, what would it be?
Let me know in comments!

A potion's kit (ditto on the obvious).
Not sure if you'd consider these too expensive though.
A library card? He might not even have to buy that at all. Wands are also releatively cheap.

Thanks for playing! I like your ideas!

Date: 2011-09-02 04:36 am (UTC)Damn, just can't choose between the smoothie maker and the portable oven. XD
I thought about a pensieve too but they would be expensive. If he could figure out how to work one and use it to observe other people's memories for cases... well, it's not like he trusts anyone else's POV, does he?
*Slinks away with the smoothie maker*

Date: 2011-09-02 04:17 am (UTC)It'd be funny if Sherlock started sending owls around London. "Come at once, if convenient. SH PS: The owl bites."

Date: 2011-09-02 04:18 am (UTC)Lord knows what kind of books he would buy.
Btw...did you see this story (http://wwww.fanfiction.net/s/6339646/1/)? It totally surprised me when I saw it the other day.

Date: 2011-09-02 04:27 am (UTC)As for books, he would take a lot. Just imagine all of the law, history, atlas, obsure potion and so many more references. Looking at his office he has a lot of books. Just imagine how frustrated he would be by their lack of catalog considering how tech savvy bbc!sherlock is!

Date: 2011-09-02 04:30 am (UTC)He can only buy one thing! Imagine how torturous that would be for him. Oh man.

Date: 2011-09-02 04:38 am (UTC)Anyway, wip also drive me crazy, but it is torterous when it is there taunting me with its summary to read and it recently updated. Sometimes, I can not resist temptation and I click. I did that for your stories originally, which makes me very lucky sometimes! :D

Date: 2011-09-02 10:04 am (UTC)Part of me doesn't think he's buy a potion's kit to actually use because he's egotistical enough to only want to be able to work things out himself, with no influences etc (apart from John and he always guesses what John is going to come up wth anyway). I think he'd buy it just to sit around and work out what makes these combinations so special - how it works. And then he'd annoy his brother by not sharing the findings.

Date: 2011-09-02 06:57 pm (UTC)And I think you have a point about the potions kit...but he might want to buy a potions book. Just to marvel at the weird combinations.

Date: 2011-09-03 05:34 am (UTC)Somehow, the only way I imagine Sherlock going into Diagon Alley...is that he accidentally goes into a Wizarding crime scene, manages to fail getting obliviated and then drive the aurors nuts.
Okay, on topic...um...a...new skull? Of a wizarding creature. Because he'd delight in calling people stupid when they think they skull is fake.
