Continuity Error in Metamorphosis (4x04)

 I slept through my alarm today...oops...so, short post today...

I was watching Metamorphosis (4x04) for my If Clothes Could Talk project, and realized that:

Sam wears a different coat when he is inside Jack Montgomery's closet. 

He arrives in a beige jacket, gets beat up - and then wakes up in the closet in one of his green jackets. When he busts out of the closet in heroic fashion, he is back in his beige jacket.

I think the show should hire me to keep track of these things. I'll be looking for a new job in August anyway.

You're right though. In fact the only time other time he wears the green jacket is in the opening teaser scene, otherwise he's always in the beige one.

They must have done the closet scene on a different day or re-shot it later. Oooops! I'll have to add this to my SPN Revealed posts....whenever I get to Season 4. Heh. ;)

Haha, yeah, I had to go back and watch the whole sequence from them following Montgomery through town to Sam killing him, just to make sure I hadn't been seeing things.

They must have filmed the sequences with Dean and the guest actor, and then had Jared come in on his own one day to do the scenes with him in the closet - and someone messed up and put him in the wrong coat.

I DID think of your SPN Revealed posts when I spotted it. It's the first in-episode continuity error that I've spotted with clothes. There are plenty of other clothing continuity errors that span episodes (like the fact that in Red Sky At Morning, Sam wears the shirt that Madison was shot while wearing in S2.)
