Day 23 - Most annoying character
Jun. 17th, 2010 09:25 amDay 23 - Most annoying character
Hmmm....well, I can think of countless simpering female anime characters...so, let's stick to Supernatural.
I'm going to go ahead and say Meg.
Now, hear me out, because I know for some reason people love Meg... I find her annoying because I'm supposed to. She's a villain, so I have much the same reaction to her as Dean and Sam do whenever she shows up.
It also annoys me that we don't know her name. She's Meg because that's the first body they met her in. When she possesses Sam, Dean asks her who she is and she says "I go by many names - right now, I'm Sam" - which is all well and good, but every other demon had a constant name that was independent of the body they were in, and it sort of annoys me that we don't know hers.

Date: 2010-06-17 07:02 pm (UTC)But yeah, Meg isn't the first demon to not have it's own name - but it's the only recurring demon to definitively not have it's own name (if we got by my assumption that Ruby is Ruby-Demons name and not the name of the original vessel).
But then, I guess that's opinion.

Date: 2010-06-18 07:00 am (UTC)I can certainly understand why she annoys you though. As you point out, there are very limited recurring non-antagonistic (alive) females on the show, so it seems silly to waste one of those slots on someone who isn't necessarily shown in a non-crazy light.
