I stole this from
stephie_nhbg because it looked like something mindless and fun...and also allows me to tease a little with the demented!verse things.
Post a sentence (or two or a paragraph) from as many of your WIPs as you want, with no explanation attached.
1.
Sam insisted that I assure you that "the delay in responding to you was entirely his and Dean's fault, and not in any way a reflection of misgivings on my part due to what you are" - his words. In my words, I'll just say that those two idiots got caught up with a nasty Siren after leaving you and got their heads a bit turned around.
2.
"Oh God, don't remind me. Stupidest thing I've ever done for a chick," Dean groaned. "And no, you said yourself that it doesn't count if Dad didn't care...and obviously, Dad never cared what our hair looked like, or else he would have done something about your miserable head long ago."
"Hey!" Sam replied, running a hand defensively through his hair.
Dean just laughed.
"My hair is awesome..." Sam muttered, and glared out the window while he watched Dean smirk out of the corner of his eye.
3.
Harry cringed, realizing that he should have just acted surprised. How did he tell Dean that they had all found out last year, that there was a prophecy that Harry had completely misinterpreted and hadn’t even told them about. Merlin, they were going to kill him, in his own house, with his children in the next room.
4. (Original Fiction!)
“The sun is too bright,” Seth said, wishing that Jason would just go, because the sun was reflecting off the parked blue car behind him, and Seth didn’t know how to talk to people anymore, not when Vincent was dead and Henry MacKenzie was memorizing his mother’s license plate.
“Do you have sunstroke?” Jason asked, as though he just solved a problem. Then Jason’s hand was on his shoulder, tilting him into the light. “Hey, look at me a second. Seth, are you feeling ok?”
“No,” Seth answered, because his chest hurt horribly and his eyes were stinging.
“I’ll walk you home,” Jason said.
Seth nodded and let Jason fall into a steady pace beside him, skateboard clutched under his arm. He was thankful when Jason didn’t try to talk to him anymore. If he closed his eyes, he could pretend Jason was someone else. And when Seth stumbled over curbs or had to weave his way past other people on the sidewalk, Jason’s steadying hand on his elbow could be anyone’s hand.

You can find it here: http://hells-half-acre.livejournal.com/190948.html It's epically long and has taken up 9 months of the past two years...which you know, is another reason the novel is a bit slow going :P
