Crazy Crochet-Project Idea...

Alright, so, a couple of years ago, I made an Avatar: The Last Airbender blanket based off a pattern I found online.



It just occurred to me that now that I have the knowledge of how to do it...well, there's no stopping me from making a Supernatural blanket. 

I could use the tattoo design and do one central larger image instead of the four separate images that the Last Airbender has. So, in the end, the blanket would look like this:



The question is...am I completely crazy?

Actually, the question REALLY is: What colours do you think I should use?

It would be really expensive, over $100 at least (the Last Airbender blanket cost me $250 in wool, but I used expensive stuff), and right now I'm making a shirt for my mother...but, I've been wanting to make another blanket, and this idea just sort of came to me while I was napping this afternoon and it seemed brilliant...

So, yeah, if you had a Supernatural blanket in two colours, what colours would you want? Red and black would go with my decor, but I don't know, I can also do something else like make the design the light colour and the background the dark colour. When I first thought of it, I was thinking army-green and tan (sort of to get the military feel) but I really don't like tan.

Sage green and chocolate brown?
Red and black?
Something else? What are your thoughts...

Sage green with the design in black would also be rather 'army' colored - and would be in keeping with a more-Supernatural feel; John, after all, was a 'Nam vet, not Desert Storm or any of the current conflicts.

Though, if your room's in red and black, I'd do the blanket in black with the design in red.

Personally, I'd want silver and purple, but then again, my room's got brown carpet, white walls, black curtains, and all my bedding's in shades of blues, greens, and reds - my favorite color is sadly lacking. But it's your blanket. Do what ya gotta...

Hmm...sage green and black sounds awesome to keep with the theme of the show, but yeah, I guess the problem is that I always decorate my bedroom in reds and oranges (with dark almost black furniture).

Decisions decisions...

I vote red and black, but I've always loved those colors together anyway. ;) Specifically, a black blanket with the design in red. Very striking! :)

Yeah, they are pretty classic colours, and my favorite scare of the Last Airbender blanket IS the red square.

My sister just suggested navy blue and army (or sage) green, and that could work too....so many options...

Haha, nice to have someone recognize the awesomeness of my A:TLA blanket!!!

After I finish the shirt for my Mum, the Supernatural blanket is going to be my next project. That gives me time to graph out the image and choose the colours (and save up for the wool!)

Let me know if you have any colour suggestions! So far the leading choices are:
Red on black
Green on black
Green on navy blue
