Thanks! Sounds like it's a bigger deal for communities and those with explicit (LGBTQ) content.

I should back up my DW anyway. I haven't imported entries there for over two years. Hopefully people who are subscribed to me there don't get flooded with notifications if I suddenly do a huge batch.

Sucks about the kinkmeme possibly having to relocate - I'll await their announcement. They're my main source for the really nasty porn that I'll never admit to reading (except I just did).

I don't tend to save fics anyway, but I do hope that people DO back-up, or move their fics to AO3 or whatever. It'd be a shame to lose content entirely.

Yeah, I'll be reviving my DW as soon as I get a chance. And I'll start posting over there.

I'm not sure if I should leave up what I have, or if I should delete everything except the clothing catalogue? I don't know what the protocol should be.

Like you, I always viewed things as over exaggaration.

But this is different as it quotes Russian law, and Russia is known for capturing, storing and mining internet data. I'm not comfortable with breaking Russian law (which I have implicitly done by agreeing to the T&C). Particularly since it's likely I will travel to that country someday.

Yeah... sigh... I'm going to back up to DW and then see about maybe flocking old entries, and then just doing the crosspost thing with everything except the clothing catalogue. I don't really have anything on here that conflicts with russian law, I don't think, but it's still annoying to be subject to the laws of a non-free country.

for shits and giggles, i'm going to back up my trys830 and trys_writer LJs. i'm sure i have all my fanfics somewhere; and i'm sure most of my trys830 LJ is trivial, i-don't-really-need-it posts now, but i've been here for 13 years! o_O
