I have a ticket! Yay!

I bought a gold ticket, for more than I wanted to pay for a gold ticket, but whatever. I'm sure if I had waited, I could have gotten one for really cheap right before the convention when everyone who is still trying to sell at full price starts getting super desperate to make at least SOME money back... but, as per usual, I got anxious about not having a ticket, because I really want to go! So, yeah... ticket, yay!

I think this is the last year that I will be going on a gold ticket. Actually, this might be the last year that I'll go period. We'll see. I'm getting pretty bored with life, so changes might be afoot. You can only skirt the poverty line in the most expensive city in the country for so long before you start thinking "maybe I should make some changes..." It might be time to skirt the poverty line in a less expensive city, for instance.

Anyway, this will be my fifth convention and my fourth time on a gold ticket... and that's an amazing run for anyone. So, if I'm still in Vancouver next year, I'll probably either skip the con entirely, or just go with GA or preferred tickets.

As usual, I'll be writing reports for everyone who cares to read them! I'll try to make them marvelous and go out with a bang. ;)

Yeah! We'll see how it goes! I'm a little worried because Adam Glass is one of the more sensitive writers when it comes to twitter - but I'm thinking actually being face to face with him will hopefully make people nicer. I also admit that I AM a little pessimistic when it comes to humanity. :P

But there are a ton of people that I want to see this year - it should be fun! I'll have to buy a new notebook for my notes!

I'm in F24. I got my ticket for $100 off, but with the exchange rates and paypal fees, it's basically as though I had paid full price, except in Canadian. :P

Yay!!!!! So happy you're going. Been wondering if you were going to get a ticket in time or not. Looking forward to your notes for the panels. Don't know what I'd do without them since I'm so busy taking photos and rarely remember what was said.

Oh! Ha ha...uh, actually, now that you mention it, that's Tuesday. On Monday I'm completely free during the day, but at night there might be another VFX-type get together like last year, so I'd want to go to that.

I've also got to make time to type up reports, but *shrug* - maybe in another month I'll have perfected the "typing while I sleep" feat. (probably not.)

On Thursday, I should be free after 9:30am.
