Dean's S8 Army Green Shirt



This shirt has thick seams and is lighter buttons. It appears charcoal in some light, but green in others.  Not much else to say about it! It looks really really comfy though and I kind of want one.

APPEARANCES:

In Torn and Frayed (8x10), Dean wears this shirt at the end of the episode in Rufus’ cabin when he and Sam discuss Cas and Dean breaks it off with Benny.

In Pac-Man Fever (8x20), Dean is wearing this shirt when he and Sam realize that Charlie is missing. He keeps it on until they save her, but then changes before the goodbye scene.

Dean wears a lot of green. Too much green, in my opinion. Although a nice color for Jensen, it is not my favorite color on him. I think it washes him out a little bit.

I think the problem is the filters they use on SPN. I've got very similar colouring to Jensen, and I look amazing in green - but for some reason this doesn't translate that well on camera for Jensen, I don't think.

But hey, I could be wrong. I've never seen him in green in person, so it could be that we're different enough that it does wash him out, but doesn't wash me out.

I've also seen him wear light grey before... light grey makes ME look like the undead, but people let Jensen out of the house in light grey suits, so maybe that's a sign that I'm wrong about us being the exact same colouring.

(That being said, I'm wearing one of Dean's greenish shirts right now, and I look fantastic.)

Hmmmm, never thought about that - it could be the filters that aid with the washing out look. There is this great picture of Jensen smiling wearing a green shirt and he looks really good in it. Although, in public appearances, I don't think I have ever seen him wear anything green.

For me, dark army greens are best. If there's too much.. yellow(?) in the green, then it looks horrid on me. So, it has to be sort of a grey-green, or a blue-green.

Basically, stuff that looks more like the bottom middle square of this:

Rather than any of the greens on the right side.

I do prefer the darker green as well. Those bright greens are really bright. Almost hurt my eyes. Definitely agree with preferring the green with a little more blue versus yellow.
