Dean's Stolen Blue Plaid


Dean steals someone’s backpack and acquires this blue broad plaid shirt. It’s a little bit too small for him in the arms, but he makes do.

Appearances:

In We Need to Talk about Kevin (8x01), Dean is wearing this shirt when he gets out of the truck that gave him a lift to Louisiana and he wears it while resurrecting Benny.

Fate: My guess is that as soon as Dean made it back to Rufus' cabin and found his old clothes, he ditched this too small shirt.

Oh, I did like that shirt. It was tad too small and the way it framed his arms - yup, I liked that shirt a lot. ;)

I love that the production team / wardrobe folks took the time to realize that Dean wouldn't have access to his clothes yet and would be using what was in the stolen pack. Devil's in the details.

Yeah, I love stuff like that too. My favourite is still 4x01, when Dean actually wears Bobby's, and then Sam's, clothes for the whole episode, because obviously Sam had put Dean's stuff in some storage locker somewhere after he died. For viewers that don't notice, it doesn't matter, but for viewers that do notice, it makes it all the more 'realistic'.
