Ugh! I want my S4 DVDs! The problem with the place I live is that my mail is delivered to the landlord, who just keeps the stuff for us in the box...but I don't know what happens to the packages. Also, when I ordered it, I got a letter wrong in my postal code...now I'm paranoid.

Another problem: Susie's TV is frickin' DARK, and she doesn't have the remote for it, so there's no way to adjust the picture. (there's no controls on the front of the TV other than power, channels, and volume). Seriously, we watched The Watchmen last night, and it was mostly a guessing game of shadows. (Good movie though!).This doesn't bode well for watching Supernatural this year, and it ALSO doesn't bode well for watching my DVDs, especially since I use the DVDs to do the timeline, and that means having the picture clear enough to read dates off of newspapers.

I could use my computer, but my computer is old and overheats. So, if I'm lucky I can maybe watch one episode without it hanging...if I don't pause of rewind or anything that I would normally do...

And I was going to buy a new computer before Christmas anyway, but a friend of mine tells me that I should wait until January, because everyone is holding their new models for the release of Windows 7. I also can't afford a new computer, but that's besides the point.

Complain complain complain!

I say buy a new tv! Or order/buy a new remote? eBay is great for that kind of thing.

Well, my other sister is bringing a 27" up for us to see in October, but Susie thinks it'll be too big. I have a strict "don't buy things you don't really need" policy...and it gets a bit confusing when it comes to leisure items, but yeah, I should probably look into remotes. Maybe universal ones can adjust the picture.

There ARE drawbacks to living with my sister, much as we get along, there's someone there to know when you are spending money on something you don't really need. Also, she just yelled at me for stacking the dish washer wrong...well, *excuse* me...maybe if you didn't use 50 dishes a day, it wouldn't matter if I did light loads! (Uhh...ok, I think that's off topic.)

I'm living w my sister in law at the mo and she's driving me nuts so I totally feel ur pain! She made a huge mess of the microwave and I'm like wtf! That was this morning ugh! But anyway I know what u mean about not buying useless stuff but I think some things are important like the things I use every day ie tv, computer, phone, etc. I mean it's worth spending a bit extra on something if ur gonna be using it a lot and it makes ur life easier.

Good point. Well, maybe I'll make do for now and see if I can convince Susie to accept the 27" in October...if not, then I could see if I can find something in the neighbourhood on craigslist.

It's always hard living with people. Susie and I will no doubt do countless things to annoy one another, but I'm sure we'll survive. At least we aren't stuck in a car for 8 hours a day hunting demons and keeping secrets. :-P

That's so true. They have that special trust tho in that they trust each other w their lives every day. Also it is a very isolating lifestyle and they only have each other. But maybe that makes the claustrophobia worse when they do get it cuz it's like you just cannot get away from this person no matter whAt.

How did this turn into sam n dean meta? LOL!

It always does with me :P

Seriously, when I visit my two nieces, I sit there thinking "hey, they are exactly the same age difference as Sam and Dean...how adorable!" I need help, I tell you.

But yeah, it's different with Sam and Dean because they've been insular from the beginning...Susie and I have, while closer than some siblings, have mostly lived apart for the past 10 years.

Ah but sam n dean had the Stanford years apart when sam I think changed a lot. But that's why i love s1 so much- all the coming to terms w each other as adults and learning to be brothers again. <3

True <3

I guess part of me and my sister learning to be sisters as adults involves her yelling at me for stacking the dishwasher wrong, and me quietly being annoyed that she uses too many dishes. :-P

I guess I should be thankful that we aren't shooting each other with rock salt ;-)

Yell at her back for using too many dishes! Have it out Winchester style, punching and shoving into shelves and childish pranks. WOO!

Haha, now now...that wouldn't be a fair fight, I've got nearly 60 pounds on her.

Haha, well, according to Jared, he only weighs 30 pounds more than Jensen...and why my brain retains this kind of information, I don't know. I really do try not to be a crazy stalker...I swear, it's just coincidence that I decided to move to Vancouver, really...

Lol I'm impressed by your encyclopedic knowledge of jared and jensen. And if you don't stalk them in Vancouver I'll be disppointed! I expect to at least hear about how you met them in a coffee shop or something hehe.

I don't know, I doubt it. I'm pretty sure that when they aren't working, they also aren't hanging out anyplace that I would go. :-P

Unless they are into art gallery's...because that's what I'm spending this evening doing - wondering around the rich part of downtown, looking at art galleries.

I know, I know, when you stalk you aren't supposed to do what YOU want to do...but man, the area of town they live in is all far-away, and I'm lazy! I can SEE it from my neighbourhood, but that's just because I live on a hill and can practically see all of Vancouver from my neighbourhood.

Yeah, there's loads of celebs that live here but I don't exactly hang out where they do. I'm sure I could figure it out, because all the trash mags are always reporting on their whereabouts, and the celebs do seem to visit the same places time and again. but those places are generally too expensive for the likes of me to hang out in!

that sounds awesome! you should take a pic and post it! then circle their neighborhood. haha!

From: [identity profile] hells-half-acre.livejournal.com
Well, I don't actually know OFFICIALLY that that's where they live. My sister just tells me that everyone whose anyone lives there, and she highly doubts they live anywhere else.

I saw Lee Pace yesterday! The trick is, you go to the expensive part of town, but you only WALK AROUND, haha....or split just an appetizer with your sister. :-P

Oic. Vancouver must be pretty small if there's only one place the richie riches live!

Ahaha, that's a good plan! I'm also really crap at recognizing people tho. I'm not even looking at people most of the time. :/

Well, in my opinion everywhere in Vancouver is where the richie riches live - it takes a half-million to buy a house in the frickin' suburbs. So, yeah, even J&J don't live in the city itself (if Susie is correct), they live in the fanciest suburb.

That being said, Vancouver IS really small. :-P

I've got half a mind to just buy one on credit...but I just drove across Canada on credit, and Canada is pretty damn big...

Sigh...

I'll just have to be patient, I guess.
