Sometimes I wonder about my sanity...

I called a friend at 5pm, got his answering machine, left a message, put my phone down right beside my computer, and then started working on the SPN/HP epic. An hour later, I look down at my phone and realize that I missed a call.

I never heard it ring. I didn't have headphones on. I didn't leave the room. I asked my sister if she heard my phone ring, and she said "yeah, twice! I was wondering why you didn't get it."

I do not understand what just happened.

Anyway, I called my friend back and I'm going out on Thursday with a long-lost friend that I haven't seen in 6 years! Wow. I can't wait. Last time I saw him we were two Canadians living in Germany...he was studying piano, and I was hopelessly in love with a mutual friend of ours that didn't love me back. Good times.

Now I'm going to go make dinner before I accidentally slip into another vortex.

Sometimes I'm concentrating so hard on something while driving that when I get where I'm going, I don't even remember having driven, how I got there -- nada. Now *that's* scary.

Oh yeah...I've done that before. But I'd like to think if someone spoke to me or a phone rang (or a car honked) I would snap out of it! There's a name for it when you are driving though...driver hypnosis or something like that. It's why you aren't supposed to follow the same car on the highway for too long. Yay me, and remembering driving-school! :P

But I agree, spacing out behind the wheel is a lot more dangerous than spacing out while sitting at your computer!
