SPN S8 DVD deals?

Does any one know if there are any good deals in Canada or the US for purchasing the S8 DVDs?

So far the cheapest I've found in Canada is $35, but I know that usually there are places in the States that sell them for half that.

So, if anyone knows of any good deals, let me know! I need them so that I can do the clothing catalogue updates and my rewatch posts in October. :)

Are you Canadian?! That is really really cool. I'm Canadian but live in Japan. It's nice to find others on-line.

I can't give you any advice on cheap DVD deals, since they are way more expensive here, but I just got a revelation from a friend in livejournal - if you have any interest in making graphics, or even just getting clear picture, don't buy the DVDs. splurge and buy the blueray. I feel like banging my head for getting them all on DVD.

Thanks for the advice on the bluray, but I'm not interested in making graphics - and blurays are also kind of useless if you don't have a bluray player. ;)

One of these days I'll upgrade all my equipment and have a bluray player than I can make caps from, and when they day comes, hopefully I'll have enough money to re-buy the series too. Until then though, I'm sticking with the DVDs, which are good enough for my purposes.

Cool! My family is from Vancouver - although I only lived there for the 4 years I went to UBC (long, long ago...)

I just bought a new computer because my old one broke. All new computers and DVD players over here are Blueray compatible... figures... after I bought almost all the series in DVD(*sigh*).

Amazon is probably a good choice. That is where I am getting it. (By the way Seasn 8 DVDs over here cost more than 100 dollars!)

Cool! Yeah, I bought my computer back in... 2010? And it's just got a DVD drive that's not bluray compatible. So, I'm stuck with just the DVDs for now.

Yikes to expensive DVDs! My other option is to get my sister in Seattle to pick it up for me in the states (or get it mailed to her house) and then get it from her when I see her in October. I might do that, just to save myself $15. :P

I check amazon.com - frequently, their base price is the Canadian discount price and the discount is usually much larger. You do have to pay shipping and they've started tacking on an amount to cover taxes and stuff (which at least a part of has usually been refunded), but it's still cheaper than up here.

Thanks! I'll look into that too. I wonder if it's cheaper to get it shipped to me, or to get it shipped to Seattle and then pay my sister to ship it to me. Hmmm....

If you can wait until Black Friday (the day after American Thanksgiving), Amazon sells the DVDs for super cheap, like $16. I've done that before and it was totally worth it, even with the shipping and duty.

Ah, I don't think I can wait that long. American Thanksgiving is WAY too far away. :P

But thanks for the tip! I may wait and order some other DVDs I want then if I can find good deals. I've been meaning to get Avatar: The Last Airbender, for example.

Oh, cool. Thanks for the heads up, but I've already put in an order somewhere. I will keep this in mind for other things that I want to buy though.

I swore that I wasn't allowed on ebay anymore because of tendency to buy really cool things that I don't actually need at ridiculous prices... but maybe I should just disallow buying things that I don't need. :P
