It's getting increasingly difficult to refrain from watching Teen Wolf.

I basically spend all Monday night and Tuesday scrolling tumblr and yelling "Why aren't people making more gifs?!?" and then sort of realizing that I won't be satisfied until I see a gif of the entire episode... and that, my friends, is usually just called "the episode."

I was going to wait until S3 was over.... but damn, I love werewolves, I love campy shows, I love campy werewolves...

So, I think the new plan is to 1)Watch Tangled (because I downloaded it yesterday) 2)finish S1 of White Collar (which I'm enjoying, but not passionately), and then 3)Start watching Teen Wolf from the beginning... with an optional step 4)Try to avoid the desire to write TW fanfiction, because, I DO NOT HAVE TIME FOR THIS FOOLISHNESS!

I started watching it recently. (Haven't started season 3 yet). It's got more beefcake per episode than all of supernatural put together.

And there are actors with charisma, so there's a kind of pleasure in watching it.

But it is an absolute mess when it comes to plotting. It's like the Cape. I gave up trying to actually follow what's going on and why, and it doesn't really have world building as much as it does "here, have some random things" - very little of which seems actually rooted in anything particularly werewolfy, but hey. But the show is mostly having a good time and there's lots and lots of the pretty, so it's all good. (And I think it's good for crossovers with supernatural. SPN helps balance out the mythology and expands the world a bit; Teen Wolf provides some good characters for the boys to bounce off of, IMO).

Yeah, I've already started wondering what crossovers would be like... which is never a good sign for staying out of fic-writing land.

I don't really mind kind of shitty plotted shows though - they're actually kind of a guilty pleasure, as long as I can connect to one or two characters in some capacity... even if it is just because they're pretty. And I kind of already think Tyler Hoechlin is pretty, so I'm already doomed there... though I hear his character is written unevenly (or at least not very well.)

Yeah, I have no idea how to describe his character, because his motivations and reactions change like the weather. But he is pretty. And he is my younger sister's age, so it's totally cool to perv on him. (I was so depressed when I realized most of the characters are supposed to have been born in 1995. The fact that several of the actors were born in 1990 or 1991 did not make me feel that much better.)

Dude! This is EXACTLY my rule for whether I'm allowed to perv on someone. I looked them all up when I started to consider the show, and Tyler Hoechlin is basically the only "main" guy that I'm allowed to perv on. :P

But anyway, yeah, sounds like you're observations on his character are similar to what I've heard from other people, which is a shame, because from his backstory alone he could be a really goddamn rich character when it comes to motivations and reactions.

And there's just so much to perv on. I was having a ton of fun watching the show with a friend of mine. At one point, he was shirtless and chained up and being taunted by a villain, and my friend said, "lick the abs! lick the abs!" and the villain DID. ....it wasn't the last time, either.


I am shamefully perving a teensy bit on Dylan O'Brien, because his eyes, man, they're just so pretty (well, and someone shared a picture from some photo shoot he did and I AM NOT MADE OF STONE, dammit.) He's also kind of the Jensen Ackles of the show - not that the others are bad, but the boy can act and has that kind of on-screen presence that has me hoping he's got a long and fruitful career ahead of him.

Yeah, I've noticed that about Dylan O'Brien too - the presence thing... and also I am not made of stone either. From the gifs and pictures I've seen, it was way easier not to perv on him in the first season because he was all baby-faced, but this latest season he's starting to look more like a grown-up and it's getting harder and harder not to admit that he's a pretty one.

I LOVE Teen Wolf! Really can't wait to meet the guys at the end of August at Wolfs Bane. Stiles (Dylan's character) is definitely my favourite followed closely by Derek (Hoechlin's character). Teen Wolf is the one show where I am actually close in age/same age as the actors I adore. You should watch it, but I will warn you that trying to avoid writing FF on Teen Wolf is near impossible. I have several rooting around in my head but need to work on my WIPs first.

Love, love, love Dylan O'Brien. He's the reason I went to see The Internship. His character in it, Stuart, is awesome! Mostly because he's an adorable sarcastic wee shit that you can't help but love to pieces, but also because of this:

Well, you'll be happy to know that I've downloaded the first few episodes! I haven't watched them yet, but I probably will soon.

I'm older (Jared and Jensen are my age group), so Derek and Isaac are the youngest characters that I can admit to be attracted to without feeling like a cougar (I looked up the actors ages on imbd. :P)

I'll, no doubt, let you know how it goes!

I hope you like it. I liked it from Season 1, but it does definitely get better going into Season 2 and Season 3 so far has been pretty amazing and highly emotional. I only got into it though last year shortly after Season 2 finished. Watched both seasons in two days :P

I'm the same age as Dylan and Posey (21, 22 this year) so for me people who aren't in the fandom tend to get a little weirded out at me saying men that are mid-30s plus are hot.

Oh, and what's Wolfs Bane? Is that like a Teen Wolf convention?! I'd imagine that could be rather insane!

Dylan has a lot of talent. I find that he's just one of those people that is able to capture attention with seemingly very little effort. I've never actually seen him in anything, but I've watched interviews with him and that's my impression.

Wolfs Bane is an unofficial convention (for Teen Wolf but for copyright reasons we aren't really allowed to say that) that Rogue (the same company that host the Asylum [SPN] Cons) are holding in London. It's a small convention with maybe only four or five guests and about 600-800 attendees. So far we have Tyler Hoechlin (Derek), Tyler Posey (Scott) and Stephen Lunsford (Matt, Season 2). It'll technically be the first convention solely for Teen Wolf.

You can't help but watch Dylan and smile (or feel your heart break if he's upset). He's in The First Time. Not really my kind of movie but it was okay. As I said I loved him in The Internship. He's also currently filming The Maze Runner.

I've seen some promo pictures for The Maze Runner! It looks really interesting. I don't know anything about the original book, I must admit.
