GISHWHES 2013

Hey Everybody,

It's that time of year again.... GISHWHES is taking place in August and my friend, K, is once again getting a team together.

She has about 6-7 spots still open, last I checked. She's looking for people who want to have some fun, but don't actually care about winning. Basically, K and the rest of the team are all people who have busy lives and know that there's no way they'll win, but they want to do whatever items on the scavenger hunt list that they can just for the fun of it.

As usual, I'm not actually on the team, but I AM a cheerleader/secondary-support (usually vid-editing) for the team. I'm not sure how much I'll be around this year though, since the hunt is taking place during one of the first week's of August, and my first two weeks of August are booked solid with vacation fun times.

K and the team are super laid back and friendly... everyone just does whatever they can do within their personal limits, and that's that. There's no pressure. It's about having as much fun as possible.

Cannot wait!! I already have a group. So far there are a 5 of us, I think. I'm sad a few people had to drop out, but I hope whomever we get in will be fun and have a good time doing tasks.
I'm ready for this to get started!!

Cool! I hope you all have fun too! I usually enjoy editing my friend's videos - I'm kind of bummed that the timing this year might not work out for me to help at all. Last year I got to be in a really awesome photo involving a long scarf. :)

i bummed with the timing this year, as i'll be having vaction fun times too! I really enjoyed last years (my first) altho i did feel a bit of a fail bc the rest of my team was SO awesome.

Yeah, I usually have fun helping K out and stretching my video-editing muscles.

I think they're trying to give themselves more time to get the merchandising together (the calendars have come out late the past two years)... but I'm thinking the next one should maybe be moved up to the spring or something, because nearly everyone I talk to is having vacation fun times in August.

well, I told Misha that if he wants more naked in public, he shouldn't do the hunt in November bc our Miss April and our Ev at the bus stop both got really really sick last year! But my guess is that Misha didn't want to have Gishwhes around the time he is scheduled to direct!

I think it's because of merchandising... the calendars have been late the past two years. This give them more time to get the merchandise out before Christmas.

SPN is still filming in August, though I guess Misha probably won't be directing then (do we know what episode he's directing?) They'll be on the third or forth episode by then, methinks.

I agree, the calendars being late was annoying and the reason I didn't order one ( I have the coffe table books). I read something about episode #17 being possibly directed by Misha, but since I can't remember where I read this, it's not valid ;)
