To be boring, because I am bored.
Man, 2007 was a horribly depressing year. 2008 will be better.
1. Where did you begin 2007?
In Montreal. Lying in a room full of boxes on a mattress on the floor, hoping it would all work out.... (it didn't).
2. What did you do in 2007 that you'd never done before?
Lived in Quebec
3. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I don't tend to make New Years' resolutions, unless you count "be more awesome."
4. Were you in school (anytime this year)?
No.
5. Did anyone close to you give birth?
An old friend from High School
6. Any new additions to your family?
Nope.
7. Did anyone close to you die?
No.
8. Did you know anybody who got married?
Yes, my good friend Sarah (and my friend Matt).
9. What countries did you visit?
Canada.
10. How did you earn your money?
I didn't.
11. Where did most of your money go?
Rent in Montreal.
12. Did you have any encounters with the police?
No.
13. What would you like to have in 2008 that you lacked in 2007?
An income.
14. What date from 2007 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
Etched? I don't think any DATE will be etched in my memory; events maybe, but I can't remember what date they happened on. For a history major, I'm not much of a date oriented person.
15. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Not killing myself or others. Actually, it was probably securing the job I have, that still has not started.
16. What was your biggest failure?
Failing to figure out how to stay in Montreal.
17. Did you suffer illness or injury?
The nice thing about not having a job, is that you aren't exposed to many viruses. I've been in perfect physical health all year.
18. Where did you go on holidays/vacation?
The plus side of being unemployed is that everyday is a vacation. The downside of being unemployed is that you have no money and can't afford to go anywhere or do anything. That being said, I did manage a trip to Newfoundland! It was most needed. I miss that place sometimes. I also went to New Brunswick for a bit, that was fun too.
19. What was the best thing you bought?
I bought a Chinese-style blouse. It's GORGEOUS.
20. Whose behaviour merited admiration?
Gabriel, for being a good friend.
21. Whose behaviour made you appalled and depressed?
The usual, and sometimes my own.
22. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
The idea that things might work out in Montreal for Gabe and I .... (they didn't).
The idea that things might work out in Ottawa for Gabe and I .... (they didn't).
23. Did you move anywhere?
I moved from Montreal back to Ottawa.
24. Where do you live now?
Ottawa.
25. What song will always remind you of 2007?
My Humps, as sung by Alanis Morrisette
