In the good good morning sun

hells_half_acreI get one and half hours of direct sunlight every day. Between 1:30 and 3pm, the sun makes it's way between the gap in the two buildings outside my window. It's the only time of the day when I feel completely warm. I pull the curtain back just enough for the sun to shine on me, but not my computer. It's one of the only reasons I get out of bed before 1:30. I like to eat breakfast during this time of day, sitting by my computer.
Between 3pm and 5pm, I get the sun reflected off the glass of the taller building on the left. It's not as warm, so sometimes I close the curtain to help keep the draft away. When the sun sets though, I can see it reflected in the glass.
No one turns the lights off in Concordia at night, so my room never actually gets dark. It looks like morning twilight, when the sun is just about to break over the horizon, only I know it's just the lights from the computer labs and the stairwell across the alley. I turned on my red nightlight when I first got here and was slightly disappointed to note that it wasn't dark enough for it. So, instead of sleeping in my usual red room, I've gotten used to sleeping in perpetual twilight.
Some days I don't really want a job; but then I remember that I have absolutely no money, and I figure I can survive without my one and a half hours of direct sunlight and my reflected sunsets. Twilight was always my favorite time of day anyway. Things are always just about to begin.
