Date: 2011-03-11 12:50 am (UTC)I don't know how to convey the awesome... I have no words. This is THE BEST HP/SPN crossover in existence: hands down. Your weaving together of the two worlds is beautifully handled and I'm just in awe of it all- managing to keep everyone in character and still manage the crossover.
*awed silence*
/me skulks off to read the sequel... :)

Date: 2011-03-11 01:14 am (UTC)And man, if you liked DDD and the Bobby-Hermione piece, you'll really like the next part, because personally I think it's even better (though, maybe I'm just biased and feel that my writing has improved with time).
I really do hope that you enjoy the sequel!! Let me know...and again, thank you so much for the kind words, and I'm so very glad that you are liking it so far :)

Date: 2011-03-11 01:01 am (UTC)Some of my favorite elements was Dean and Sam's interaction with all the children. It was so cute when Sam was the giant climbing monster all the kids brought down in a pile of tickles. I laughed out loud at that. And Dean with all the kids was brilliant. I loved that he was a natural and almost eager to hang with the kids.
The wizards' suspicion and eventual acceptance of the two hunters was interesting to see. Plus the parallels you drew between the two cannons was very interesting. I'd never thought about the correlation between Mary's death and Lily's death, or the horcrux in Harry and the demon blood in Sam, or Draco's devotion to his father and Dean's devotion to John. It surprised me that all that actually matched up! That's what made this crossover great. I don't usually read crossovers at all because the fandoms every rarely believably match up, but this was different and I loved it!
And you were right about Draco. The bits of him in here were hilarious and sweet. I loved how Scorpius latched onto Sam and when Lucius got put in his place in dinner it was brilliant. Although I must say I usually prefer a nice Lucius and Narcissa, but I can't say I wasn't cheering when Draco grounded his own parents. Sam's bit with the gun was better though.
Overall, this was just as awesome as the first one and you succeeded in making me enjoy a gen story, just as much as I enjoy slash. I am a slash girl and proud of it, but this verse has just become one of my all time favorites. I just might have to read it again. *wink*
Thank you for writing this awesome verse and once again the entire thing was brilliant. It's now a favorite!

Date: 2011-03-11 01:26 am (UTC)There are a few time stamps as well - check the master post for the 'verse (or click the demented'verse tag). I'm about to write another short timestamp too, but I'm not sure when it'll be posted - probably sometime in the next two weeks.
I never thought about the correlations between the two canons until I was well into writing the first piece...but now I find it very fascinating how much they match up.
I tried to make Narcissa at least a little sympathetic, but although I love Lucius as a character - I do not find him to have many redeeming qualities...yes, he regrets his actions in the end, but I don't think that makes him less of a pompous amoral bigot when it comes down to it. But yes, that Malfoy dinner scene was one of the things that I was itching to write...
I'm glad you gave my story a chance even though you are a slash girl! I like slash too (outside the Supernatural fandom), but because I wanted to make it as canon as humanly possible, I could not write any (non-canon) pairings into the story. A lot of slash fans won't give gen stories a try, so I'm really glad that you did!
Thanks!

Date: 2011-03-11 02:20 am (UTC)I'm definitively a slash girl (even in SPN), but I'm also a sucker for happy endings and true love so I'll read anything with a good plot, no one(major) dies(permanently), and someone has a destined significant other at least at some point in the story. Your verse had all three so I'm beyond happy.
You did a very good job of making everything canon. I'm still a little surprised you managed to keep at most of SPN element on a relatively canon timeline while still accomplishing your story realistically. Very well done.
I'll be looking forward to your new timestamp and I actually hope there will be alot more of this verse (slash or no). I also really hope you continue your Sherlock "wierd" verse in a verse. That would be just fascinating and I think you could pull it off flawlessly.
P.S. Could I friend you?

Date: 2011-03-11 02:33 am (UTC)And thanks again for the kind words - I'm glad you liked the timestamps. It helps that I also maintain a Supernatural timeline (the most accurate one on the internet, in my opinion), so yeah, keeping things "relatively" canonical in timeline is sort of a must for me :P
So far I doubt that I'll write another 32 chapter epic in this verse - but there will definitely be a timestamp here and there in the future.

Date: 2012-03-04 10:13 pm (UTC)I will indeed send you the rest of the series, but unfortunately, it'll have to wait until tomorrow evening. I just moved, and I don't have internet at home at the moment. So, yeah, sorry! (obviously, this is a sign that I should set up a download somewhere again).

Date: 2012-04-15 03:42 am (UTC)It was over 300 pages and I read it in one day sitting up at night. I loved your characters, the way you portrayed key players of HP universe as they've grown up.
Your Draco is my fav, I think you made a proper job making him an adult than even the original story did and Harry's family life is more believable this way.
I rather liked the glimpse of the Weasleys as well, how they've coped after the war, and loss. Thank you agian for the wonderful fic.
Cheers,
`Ai

Date: 2012-04-15 04:04 am (UTC)I'm so glad that you like my Draco. This is the clearest I've ever been able to explain how I interpret Draco - so I'm always happy when people like him, and think that he resonates with the Draco from the book. :)
Thanks so much for reading and coming back here to tell me what you thought! I really appreciate it!
Cheers!
