A/N: I thought that the Battle of Hogwarts took place in Spring 1997...so that's what I based my timeline on. Since then I've seen that most sources have it in 1998. Ah well. In this story it's 1997. The events of the story take place sometime in late 2008.


Summary: Harry Potter saves the Winchesters from a Dementor attack, but the Winchesters aren't the only ones that need protecting.

Wonderful story! I haven't found many crossovers that I like but you really did an excellent job! It has such an interesting plot and I love the interaction between the boys. Dean and Ron were especially hilarious. Keep up the great work!

I'm actually in the middle of reading this for the second time and realised I'd never come back and commented.

Since I'm re-reading it, obviously I liked it. I'm not a Harry Potter fan-- never read the books and didn't make it through the first movie --but you can't live in fandom and not know something about everything *G*

This was so long and juicy. I loved how first harry was saving the boys, then the boys had to save him, and I liked seeing Malfoy in it.

Just an awesome story all around, and I hope you do more like this!!

I'm half tempted not to write anything more like this, just because I don't think I can top this one...that being said, I've got a couple of ideas for sequels/timestamps in my head, so I'm sure I'll be revisiting this 'verse at some point, so...no worries...there will be more like this ;-)

I've stayed up all night reading this - led here by your post of the Supernatural/Harry Potter/Sherlock Holmes crossover ficlet yesterday evening.

I would SO LOVE to podfic this - has anyone else offered? If not, would you mind if I did?

I'm a big HP and SPN fan - this is a really great fusion and I loved all of the characters. It is really quite a feat to keep all those balls in the air - no one was OOC and it was loads of fun. I really especially liked Hermione's reaction to Bobby's book collection and Sam's sad "she's married" regarding Hermione. Dean and Ron's bonding over food and simple pleasures. I also had not given a great deal of thought to the parallels between Sam's story and Harry's.

In short (too late!) - great job.

Wow! No one has ever offered to podfic it! I always thought...what with basically 33 chapters, it was too big of an undertaking. If you want to tackle it though, I'd be honoured!

I'm really glad you liked the story! I basically wrote it because I didn't really think anyone had ever done a "canon" HP/SPN crossover before. Everyone was a lot of fun to write - and I didn't even realize the parallels between Sam and Harry until I started writing! Then it was suddenly ridiculous how much they had in common.

Wow this story was soooo great I read it all in one sitting (sometimes insomnia can be a good thing.) I loved everything about it, the storyline was interesting, the characters were all very in character, it was funny and exciting; it was perfect.
I noticed you used to have a full story link, have you thought of archiving this at archiveofourown.org? Cause then one could read it in chapter form or as a full PDF or HTML depending on preference.
I would love if you could email me the story and sequel cause I will definitly be reading this again.

Um, I don't know how to use archiveofourown.org *sheepish*...I mean, I follow links sometimes to read stories there, but other than that, I have no idea how it works. But, it certainly sounds cool! But yes, I totally second the Archive of Our Own if you're looking for an alternate way to let people download the fic as a PDF--it's basically a fandom wet dream and it's really easy to use. I managed to upload my (admittedly) rather short fic and poetry in roughly 15 minutes or something.

Characterizations of the Winchesters tend to be subjective, I find. But, I did end up making them more "schmoopy" in places that you wouldn't necessarily see on the show - mainly just for comedic effect. But yeah, who knows!

Well, not to be arrogant or anything, but I've never found anyone who writes HP/SPN crossovers quite like I do... so there are a couple of possible scenarios here, I may have A)saved you from an addiction by having the only story you're addicted to, or B)set you up for a world of disappointment, or C)introduced you to an addiction where you'll discover that you actually like the other HP/SPN crossovers better than mine!
