I just accidentally read a WIP that is completed up to the point where everything that can go wrong, has gone wrong, horribly - with everyone in mortal danger and seemingly no way to fix it.....and that's it. So, now I'm stuck with this overwhelming sense of despair and dread that makes it pretty much impossible for me to get anything done.

Sigh...maybe I'll go renew my car insurance.

In other WIP news:

The Novel Project
-I've heard from all but one of you guys. So, it looks like we're almost good to go. I may send out another email in the next few days to test formatting issues. So, just a heads up on that.
-I've decided to scrap the first chapter, and use the second chapter as the first. This means more work for me! Yay? Seriously though, the first chapter was craptastic, I think I made the right decision - it just means that I've got to go through and make sure that I'm still introducing the characters properly.

Demented'verse
-I thought of yet another timestamp piece for the demented'verse, and I have a 800 words of that written. Ironically, I'm thinking of scrapping those 800 words and instead writing it all from an OCs POV during the main action, and not having all the set-up.

6x22/7x01 AU
-Those of you who have been reading my rewatches know that I came up with an idea for an AU during 6x22. I'm probably going to write it. Right now it's sitting in my head as mostly just a concept.

If Clothes Could Talk
-I've updated the pre-existing coats for S6, but that's about it so far. I might update the pre-existing shirts today. Actually, yeah, that's probably what I'll do this evening, since that WIP I read destroyed my ability to do much else. (Right now I gotta eat, renew my car insurance, and then go to physiotherapy - 'cause I know you were curious.)

In Other News
-I start work on Monday, supposedly. It'll be nice to make money again, but I really wish it was with a new job, and not the old contracting company that constantly mismanages me. Lately I've been filled with the despairing thought that I'm not qualified for any job, no one will ever hire me, and I'm doomed to be broke and miserable forever. But at least I have you guys! *cheers* *drinks*

Supernatural Tomorrow!!
-I thought I might have a shindig that I had to go to, but it turns out that I don't - so I'll be doing my usual routine of watching at my friend's place and then walking home and typing up my reaction around midnight. Tomorrow's episode is the one that I saw being filmed back in September. I gave most of my behind the scenes stories in the post then, but tomorrow during my quick reaction, I'll be able to tell you exactly what scenes I saw being filmed. :)

Well, now I don't know if I should tell you or not... :P

Haha, I don't know if you should tell me or not either. I, somehow, avoided reading one of my favorite author's WIPs, and I fear reading one will send me on a WIP binge.

Okay, I can resist it. Tell me!

It's the J2 Au where they are werecats. (I read weird things). Anyway, the latest story is called Wheel In The Sky, and I thought the huge section that was posted today meant that it was completed...not that it was just amping up to be horribly devastating.

So, yeah, don't read it until it's completed! That is my advice to you. :P

Oh geez! Would you believe that is the story I'm trying to avoid reading? I read weird things, too. Though I have to say that's a WONDERFUL verse and people who aren't normally into weres fall for that verse. I'm trying to be patient and read it all at once but it's hard because I trust the author to finish her stories. I think my resolve is wavering. :O

Haha, I figured you would know of it, but I didn't realize that it was tempting you. My advice would be to wait until she at least posts another 5 chapter block. DO NOT READ IT NOW. But, that's my opinion...right now it ends on a huge down note.

AUs are all I can read in RPS, because I get squicked by non-AUs (for the most part, there have been a few exceptions). So, I kind of like the more fantastical AUs where it's really just the names and likenesses and nothing at all else...so the werecat verse really suits me, because they don't even use J2's immediate families' names. Plus, as you say, it's a good verse.

I'm still resisting, somehow. And just remember that, so far, she seems to be a HEA author. The story will turn around, hopefully.

I can only read AUs for RPS and my favorite fanfic are AUs and Crossovers. I tried to read a non-AU RPF story in my early fandom days and it was just weird for me. I've not read one since. Heck, this is the only fandom I read RPF for. If you asked me before Supernatural would I read so many things my answer would have been no. I have no clue what this fandom has done to me.

It really is a well-written verse. It makes me happy that one of my favorite authors reads another of my favorite authors.

Oddly enough, I don't like AUs when it comes to SPN fanfic. I like the stories to be as canon compliant as possible - though, exceptions are made for "future-fic" ...and well, really I make exceptions for well-written fic in general. I guess that's why there have been a few non-AU RPS stories that have snuck past my lines in the sand. :P

But they have to be VERY well written.

I love crossovers too! (obviously, haha).

Also, thank you for saying that I'm one of your favourite authors...that warms the cookies of my heart.

I actually read a lot of fic, but I don't usually comment (I'm such a hypocrite, because I know, as an author, that I absolutely love comments)...and I don't usually do recs...so it's kind of hard to tell what I've been reading. :P I also don't tend to bookmark, so *I* don't usually even know what I've read. One of these days I should really do a rec-post, though.
