Ontario!

I'm in Ontario now! I will remain here for the next 6 weeks (except for possibly a brief trip into Quebec to visit friends). I don't really have many plans - visiting people mostly, and there's some shit I have to do for my dad...and helping my mum get some stuff done around the cottage.

I AM still working on the demented'verse timestamp. It's sitting at about 14,000 words at the moment, and my problem is that I'm not entirely sure how to end it. I DO want to finish it though, so I'm hoping to get that done over the weekend, or, at the very most, by this time next week.

Then there are some other fics that I've been talking about for a long time. I'm going to list them, just so that I have a list somewhere. This doesn't necessarily mean that I'll write them all anytime soon.

1. A follow-up to my 'verse-within-a-'verse, which I might call demented!Sherlock'verse or something. It's the Sherlock/Demented'Verse crossover that is not canon in the demented'verse, because I'm a timeline nut and it doesn't fit into the demented'verse timeline at all.

 

2. Umm....ok, I guess I should have made this list a couple of weeks ago when I could still remember things. Let's see...there's a couple of requests:

2a)A bus man's holiday crossover: Sam and Dean discover a case while in the UK during 6.04 and run into Sherlock and John....
2b)Uh...ok, well, today someone read my story "Like a River" and wanted a companion piece to it. So, there's that for a possibility....goddamn it, I know there were more things that I've promised to people over the past few months, and now I can't remember anything!

 

3. Secret-Original-Fic Project set to begin sometime in the Fall, hopefully after I figure out a job.

 

Ok, how about we do it this way: 

*If I promised a fic to you sometime in the past few months, and you've been eagerly awaiting notice that I'm working on it - for the love of god, please remind me in comments.*

 

I seem to have dropped my brain while I was flying over the country yesterday.

 

So, I think that's it in terms of writing...those and all the fics that I've promised and then forgotten about....

 

I'm really looking forward to VanCon. Even though I have a LOT going on here in Ontario in the next 6 weeks that I'm also looking forward to.

 

Also, I'm showing off my new custom-made icon, because I haven't had a chance to use it yet. The lovely focaccina  made it for me because I asked nicely. :)

Well, you'll be happy to know the demented'timestamp is now sitting around 15,400 words...and still not done. So hopefully it'll be worth the wait when I finally do get it up!

I appreciate it! I mean, the past two summers I was writing 4,000 words a week - so, it's probably just me giving myself a hard time about being "slow" these days... but it's kind of nice to take my time.

Thanks! But oh man, the heat is killing me today. I'm already making plans to spend tomorrow in an airconditioned cinema...and maybe some airconditioned shoe stores...and in my airconditioned car. I am so kind to the environment. :P

I've had a pretty relaxing first week! Now I should probably start getting stuff done!

Sooo jealous. I have to go from my un-airconditioned work to mu un-airconditioned car to my un-airconditioned house. Ice cubes are worth their weight in gold to me right now.
