No show tonight...
Nov. 21st, 2012 05:59 pm...so instead you just get me blathering...
Fanfiction Month so far has been a bit of a disappointment. I've only written ONE THING. I mean, in fairness, I am working full time and I'm trying to knit my sister a pair of slippers (which I've had to start over at least 4 times for various reasons....but when I am finished them, they will be the awesomest slippers that ever warmed my sister's feet.) So, yeah, Fanfiction Month might become Fanfiction TWO Months - and I'll write more in December or something. There were two prompts at the meme over at
ohsam that I thought I could combine into some h/c p-p ("p-p" is my new short form for "porn without porn" since PWP would mislead people entirely...though, there wouldn't be plot either. So, it'd be "(p-p)wp" WHY DON'T WE JUST USE OUR WORDS!)
I also have the Supernatural/Merlin crossover to re-write and finish. The problem with that one is that I'm still really not sure what the point of the story is. It's shaping up to be more of a Merlin story (set between Merlin S4 and S5, and post-S6 of Supernatural); yet, I don't have a huge climatic "there's a lesson here for all of us" moment.
I really want to write more in my Merlin-Sherlock crossover 'verse, but I STILL have to wait until S3 of Sherlock and apparently the earliest that's going to happen is Fall 2013, so yeah..sigh. Sherlock is worth the wait, but, my god, it's a long wait.
I kind of want to write an S7-S8 AU where Sam and Cas have a one-way (or is it?!) psychic connection... but again, I'm not sure where I would go with it.
In non-Fanfiction stuff...
Merlin is still new this Saturday. I might blather about the new episode and the past few episode again on here - since I'll probably have excess energy saved up from not talking about Supernatural. We'll see. We're past the midway point in the season, but still fairly far from the end. I'm one of the few fans (it seems) who actually really wants them to end the show this year. Not because it's not awesome (for what it is), but just because I think they've done all they can do with it, and it's better to go out with a bang than a whimper. (That what T.S. Eliot was trying to tell us, right? How to end our TV shows?)
Anyway... how are you guys?
