Oh man, and I thought this week's episode was their inside-jokey episode of the season...I just watched the promo for next week, and man, I don't know whether to burst out laughing or cry because my favorite show is sometimes the most ridiculous thing on the planet!

Video!

At first I thought "The Monster at the End of This Book" might have been conceived as way for we fans to see ourselves as Kripke & Co. see us, and cringe. ("The best parts are when they cry," et al.)

Then I wondered if maybe this ep. might allow Sam and Dean to rediscover themselves -- for good or ill. It appears they have an opportunity to read the stupid books and reflect on how they're portrayed in them. That has possibilities.

Oh, and then of course, while Lillith apparently appears near the end, she might not be the monster, so, hmm.

To toss out a cliché, many a truth is said in jest. I think we've seen Kripke pull heavy-duty Winchester out of these occasional "comic relief" excursions. We could be in for damn near anything. I can't wait!

Very true, we saw that with the ever-popular Mystery Spot, which managed to be both hilarious and deeply upsetting. I'm AM hoping that this will be a good time for the boys to rediscover themselves.

The Lilith appearance just makes me nervous...but that's nothing new.

Thinking of how Kripke & Co. might see us makes me cringe, just because fans be crazy, yo. That being said, because the fandom can be so completely insane, it's bound to be hilarious.
