S3 Clothing Stats!
Feb. 5th, 2011 03:31 pmI finished posting all the clothes in S3! Yay! Check out Season 3 Clothes Here.
Now, for the fun bit!!

Totals - Sam: 46, Dean: 30

Sam
Unique Ts: 2
Sweaters/Long-sleeved Ts: 3
Polos: 1
Shirts: 33
Coats: 7
Dean
Henleys: 4
Shirts: 17
Coats: 9
Sam and Dean don't always wear all the clothes they own, so the following bar graph also keeps track of how many clothes remain "packed" (that is to say, they were used in the previous season and the next season, but not the current season):

Sam has 1 of his 4 sweaters and 7 of his 33 shirts packed.
Dean has 1 of his 4 henleys and 5 of his 17 shirts.
Which means that during the season, Sam uses 26 shirts in the coarse of 16 episodes, while Dean cycles through 12 shirts in 16 episodes.
I need to do charts for how many shirts are one-offs in each season. But perhaps I'll do that later. Rough count right now: of the 17 Sam-shirts introduced in S3, 6 of them are never seen again. Dean only has 5 shirts introduced in S3 and all of them survive the season. (The one that doesn't survive was introduced in an earlier season.)
Hope you enjoyed that!

Date: 2011-02-06 03:03 pm (UTC)And I especially love that Dean has more clothes that survive than Sam... I'm assuming the shirt that didn't survive was the one that he was wearing when he was mauled to death by Hellhounds because... yeah. There's no amount of repair for that outfit. It can't even be used for rags by the time the hounds are done with him. *sniffles*

Date: 2011-02-06 05:56 pm (UTC)I'm glad you like this project :) Most of the time, I sort of feel like a weirdo...so it's nice to be appreciated. I have a lot of fun doing it!

Date: 2011-02-06 06:07 pm (UTC)My guy friends all buy their t-shirts in packs - so, yeah. Even as it is, I keep track of Dean's henleys, but I'm sure he probably has multiples of those too, so that count is a LITTLE ridiculous. But hey, a girl can try ;)

Date: 2011-02-06 06:13 pm (UTC)My brother buys his shirts in packs too so that's what I just assumed. Maybe the henley thing is a bit ridiculous but they are unique enough for me to notice and well, if you cut them out, Dean's wardrobe is literally halved.

Date: 2011-02-06 06:18 pm (UTC)Yeah, exactly. I didn't want Dean's wardrobe to look TOO pathetic...plus, I started counting them in S1 along with the Polos that Sam used to wear, so I just figured I might as well keep going.
Plus, we know Dean was buried in his nicer clothes...so, yeah, I think it was enough to ask Sam to re-dress his beloved Dead brother before burying him...tailoring would be above and beyond the call of duty :P especially when it would have been impossible.

Date: 2011-02-06 06:46 pm (UTC)And I agree, it was already difficult enough for Sam to stitch together his brother (I'm assuming Sam stitched Dean up even though there really was no point in doing so) and redressing his brother. Also? Sam probably had to cut Dean's clothes from him. So, yes, tailoring is above and beyond the call of duty. :P

Date: 2011-02-06 06:56 pm (UTC)Dean has more jackets than Sam - it's the only category where he's so far had consistently more articles of clothing...if only by 1 or 2. We'll see if it stays like that...

Date: 2011-02-06 10:21 pm (UTC)And I love that Dean has so many jackets. It makes me giggle. The boy totally knows how to rock the layering thing.
