So, my little sister and I were at the video store yesterday, and she spotted The Christmas Cottage on the rack...
Little Sister: "Aww..." *pokes the picture of Jared* he's so adorable...."
Me: "Hahaha"
Little Sister: *looks at me with slightly hopeful look*
Me: "...we could get it...."
LIttle Sister: *smiles deviously* "Really?!"

After picking out a second movie, we line up to check them out....
Me: *giggles to myself*
Little Sister: "The Christmas Cottage, right? I'm so excited!"

And thus we ended up watching The Christmas Cottage...which we found absolutely adorable. Little Sister thought that Peter O'Toole was "intense" and that it was super weird watching Jared play someone other than Sam. (We seriously have never before watched him in anything else, as neither of us are big into horror films and neither of us watched the Gilmore Girls.) We both thought that his wool hat was very nice. Little Sister thinks that Jared looks like a whole other person when he starts crying.

The second film we watched was Smart People, because we both like Ellen Page...but it wasn't very good. Just weird.

In other news, I'm thinking of moving out to Vancouver. It's brilliant here, and I think I really need a change. I had this crazy emotional breakdown before my trip back home...and as much as it would be killer more expensive to move out here, I think it might be better on the whole for my life and whatnot. We'll see though, it all depends on whether I can get work out here. I wouldn't move out here until the end of August, so I have a bit of time to figure things out...but I'm thinking of it.

Little Sister says that she's always on the look out for Jared and Jensen, but has never seen them. She did point out the section of town that she thinks they live in though...and I told her what kind of car Jensen drives...so our extremely casual stalking is going well.

aweh i've been meaning to see that. i'm glad you and your little sis liked it. :]

and i totally get what you mean, about it being weird to see the boys in anything else. when i saw my bloody valentine i kept going "what? dean wouldn't do that OHWAIT." :P as for f13 i kind of just pretended it was sam...ssh haha.

my brother went to art school in vancouver. i love that place so much and yeah, it's expensive, but i think you'll be fine if you just try and be frugal and whatever?

lolz, good luck with the stalking.

Funny, my little sister is going to art school in Vancouver...

Yeah, I saw some clips of Jensen in Dawson's Creek, and it was so trippy...also because he was crazy young, but still.

Hurray for casual stalking! XD And I'm glad to hear you enjoyed the film, because I just bought it on Amazon. hee! My hubby and his sister saw Smart People, also because they like Ellen Page, but I think they were of a similar opinion. Have you seen Hard Candy? I really liked that one.

I'm excited for you with the moving decision. It did sound like you needed a change, something more permanent than a holiday. And hey, if there's increase chance of seeing the J's about town, who're you to complain? ~_^

Heheh. The J's being in town certainly sweeten the pot. Unfortunately, it's not as easy as saying "well, I'm going to move to the other side of the country now!" and just doing it. So, I'll have to look for work out here during the summer and see if it's even possible.

I'll keep my eye out for Hard Candy next time I'm at the video store. There's also the Tracy Fragments - though, being Canadian, it's probably a very trippy weird movie.

Hmm, true, having a job is the primary concern. I suppose it used to be easier when we were younger. For me anyway, I could find a job just about anywhere. But I guess the further along you get in your career the better, but less, jobs there are which are appropriate for you.

After watching Exotica and Liberace, I've certainly formed an opinion of Canadian films. Not necessarily a bad one, but yeah, those were weird films.

Well, I could find a job just about anywhere too (if I didn't care what I did). The problem is that with my finances the way they are, I need a good job, and I basically need to have it ready and waiting for when I arrive. I'm not very far along in my career, and I don't even really know what my career might be, so at least on that front I'm pretty flexible.

It's only recently that Canadian films have started to get a little less weird. Passchendaele was our first big budget war film (took 10 years to drum up the money though)...and next week One Week is coming out, and it's a nice road-trip film...though, in the spirit of Canadian films it's about a dying guy so it's probably going to be super depressing.
