They added two crew members to the VanCon line-up: The Locations Manager and the Art Director!
Is it weird that I'm just as (if not more) excited about their talks than I am about the actors?!? I'm insanely curious about the behind-the-scenes workings of the movie/tv industry...actually, it's one of the options for my upcoming career change. So, YAY!
Jensen and Jared who? (Haha...I'm kidding...to an extent).
And now, a song by Emerson Hart...because I finally understand why Jensen and Jared complain about having to say goodbye to their friends and return to Vancouver every year, even though Vancouver is an awesome place to live:
I'll miss the Ontario landscape and it's many thunderstorms...and my cottage, and all my friends and family on this side of Canada.
Vile Violent Vacations chapter will be posted tomorrow morning as scheduled before I jump on a plane and head back to SuperNatural British Columbia.

Date: 2010-08-18 03:42 am (UTC)I don't live there permanently, because I live in Vancouver - but, when I'm in Ontario, I live there part of the time (the other part in the house my Mum has in the 'city' and by 'city' I mean 'small town 40 minutes from a city'). My mum lives there on weekends (she stays at the place in the 'city' during the week so her commute to work isn't freakishly long).

Date: 2010-08-18 05:06 am (UTC)I'll see what I can do about getting a job in the industry - I need to find the quickest route in there with the least amount of training, because I can't really afford to go back to school for long periods of time anymore.
I wish it wasn't considered poor taste to go to the convention and beg everyone there for a job :P ...we have a big problem in Canada because unless you are in an extremely coveted trade, it's really hard to get a job without "knowing someone"...so, when you are like me and move to cities where you don't know anyone, you are pretty much screwed. /mostly-unrelated-rant.

Date: 2010-08-19 08:41 pm (UTC)Oh, and I've never met anyone who lives in Vancouver who actually misses Ontario when they leave here (but I really only know three, and two of them were born there, so...).

Date: 2010-08-19 08:51 pm (UTC)I'm also a huge fan of lakes - as I don't really like swimming in the ocean. So, although Vancouver beaches are awesome to hang out on, they loose points for being salt water.
Anyway, Firefly was wicked-cool when it came to set-design. I also loved it's use of language. I've been contemplating drastically switching careers, and one of my options is the film industry...we'll see if anything comes of that. I have to look into it further.
