Day 20 - Favorite kiss

I'm not really a "favorite kiss" kinda girl. I much prefer platonic signs of intimacy rather than romantic ones.

So, I'm going to go with:

Ray Kowalski and Benton Fraser - underwater "kiss" in Due South's episode Mountie on the Bounty Part 1.

Because I've always been impressed with Paul Gross' ability to weave blatant fan-service into his story lines.

But seriously...I wish they had a category in this meme for "favorite instance of clothes sharing" or "favorite time people drank from the same glass" - because stuff like turns me on more than kisses.

Oh wow...I wasn't actually expecting to answer those questions...let's see..

Favorite Instance of Clothes Sharing:
Well, I don't have it posted yet, but while doing my "If Clothes Could Talk" series, I actually found possible proof that the hoodie Dean wears in Faith IS in fact Sam's hoodie...and every day or two I go into my files and drool over the photographic evidence. That being said - it's hard to beat Lazarus Rising, where Dean spends half the episode walking around in Sam's shirt and jacket.

Favorite time people drank from the same glass:
This is one of my favorite things to do with my best friend, but you probably meant in a TV show, or Supernatural...so, I'm going to say Dean and the Siren in Sex and Violence - just because they actually use it BECAUSE it's a form of platonic intimacy. Plus, as much as we see the boys drinking in Supernatural, I think they've only ever drank from the same container once in Houses of the Holy.

Favorite Intimate Moment
It might seem strange, but I like it when the boys wake each other up. In S1, Sam tugs on Dean's arm to wake him. Also in S1, Dean puts his hand on Sam's chest to wake him...in a deleted scene in S4, we see Dean smack Sam's lower leg to wake him up. (One of my older sisters used to wake me up by holding my foot gently...it was an interesting way to wake up).

There are the hugs too...but I like the subtler things - like how Dean grabs a handful of Sam's jacket in Lucifer Rising...or you see him reach out to do the same in Malleus Mallificarum when he's coughing up blood.

Probably though, my favorite intimate moment is the glimpses we saw in the S5 finale of all the intimate moments we never see (or rarely see) - sleeping together (platonically) in the car...watching the stars...it takes a strong relationship to be able to not have to talk.

Love those answers! Mainly because I too am someone who liked the platonic signs of intimacy better than kisses too. Kisses can be just lust, the other things are love.

That's funny, because I was thinking about Due South when I saw the meme prompt.

But it's the one between Fraser and Meg on top the train.
Really, that whole episode. They had great chemistry.

I had forgotten about that...but yeah, that episode was pretty awesome.

For some reason kissing just doesn't stick in my memory that much....

I mean, the kiss between Dean and the Crossroads Demon was really well lit - but the emotion it triggered was a negative one, so I can't really say it's my "favorite" since I associate "favorite" with positive emotions...and things I like watching repeatedly. I don't enjoy watching Dean sell his soul.

The train one sticks in my mind because it was just...perfect. Great chemistry, it fit in the story, and it was beautiful, with the panning out to show the scenery. (and also? The bit where his hat gets clipped by the bridge always makes me laugh, especially with his hair sticking up through the new hole)

Haha, yeah, I think his hat being clipped by the bridge is my favorite part of that - I love a good punchline to a kiss ;)
