Day 11 - A show that disappointed you

Star Trek: Voyager

It had SO much potential for great character based story-lines. It had so many great back-stories for its characters...but it NEVER used them to their full potential. Instead it became the Close-Talker-Captain Show, and when ratings started to slip (because people like me had lost interest), they "solved" it by adding a model in a skintight bodysuit. Ugh.

It had it's moments, but it never made me care enough about the characters to watch. Basically, it had a great Pilot and absolutely no follow-through.

I have to agree on that one.
I remember wondering why, when they had the potential of using the divisions between Starfleet personnel and the Maquis, that after the pilot they just wrote them all as one happy Starfleet crew. The fact that one half would be seen as wanted terrorists by the other half was pretty much ignored. And the Maquis never even seemed to resent being forced into Starfleet despite their rebellion against Starfleet's rulings.

Exactly - they came up with these great back-stories for most of the characters and then wrote them like they didn't have any back-stories at all.
