Yeah, I mean, it makes sense for the boys not to be as naturally affectionate with each other in S4 and S5, but sometimes I worry that they're too conscious of it now or something...
Because in S1 and S2, we got some great little tiny things - like Sam hitting Dean in the crotch as he drove the Impala passed him into the garage in Bugs...or like Dean petting Sam in this scene...
And we don't get as much of that anymore. Heck, we didn't even get a hug in the finale and Sam was GOING TO HIS DEATH! (but I'm not bitter...I'm just really hoping for another good reunion hug come S6).
I'm surprised I never caught it before. I guess usually when I rewatch an episode it's for my timeline - so I'm too obsessed with dialog and whether there is anything on the screen that might have a date on it.
