thing is though, that Adam doesn't know that. About just how bad his brother's childhood was. In his mind, they got to have dad, but he doesn't realize that they didn't, not really. Most of the time, they just had drill sergeant Winchester, on the times he was actually there. Not even counting all the time that he was gone.
