I think everyone should move to Canada, it's awesome here. (Admittedly, I'm biased). Ah, ketchup chips. I have no idea why they don't sell them in other countries...so good. They were the only type of chips I would eat as a child.
If you do manage to convince your parents to give BC a go, let me know! I haven't had that much time to explore it myself, since I only moved here in the fall (in time for a rainy season that doesn't much inspire roadtrips or going out on the town).
I've found that poutine is only good when you make it yourself if you also make the fries yourself - but that's a whole hell of a lot of work. And you have to get the gravy right - the trick is in the gravy.
My best friend and I wanted to open up a restaurant called "poutines of the world" because we've experimented a lot with different "poutine" recipes. So far we only have Italian, Mexican, and "regular" though :-P
