Why did you chose the beginning of the year for the brothers to visit?
A couple of reasons: 1)Although I had the basic idea for the sequel beforehand, Abandon All Hope seemed to be the perfect jumping-off-point. Sadly, S5 has been MUCH harder to time-line than S4, so it still left me pretty flexible with one I set it. So, 2)There's a scene in the sequel that I want to have, but it needs to take place while Hogwarts is not in session. Originally, I was going to have the Winchesters go there for Christmas, but then the Winchesters were like "Are you kidding me? No way in hell." So, I had to settle for after the holidays, but before the school resumed.
I'm glad you enjoyed it! I wasn't sure if it was really interesting enough to be posted, but I had written it for fun and figured I would share at least with those who follow my journal. I'm still undecided about whether I'll post it to any fic communities.
