Thank you for this awesome review! I really enjoyed going back over the episode this way. The Chuck/Metatron scenes were so long it's easy to forget much of it, and there were really great things said. As Curtis notes in the commentary, those lines about humanity (i.e. Sam and Dean) being better than God were real tear-jerkers, all right. Damn. And that baby? What an amazing performance! So much emotion in that scene with the fog and Dean trying to die with Sam (and finding out the fog doesn't affect him -- nice twist on the Croatoan parallel, where it's Sam that's immune). And that beautiful Vancouver scenery always makes me homesick (I'm a transplanted Oregonian). So beautiful it's heartbreaking!
