Very good point. There is a very different feel to the evilness of Crowley vs the evilness of Lucifer and I think you just articulated some of why that is.
Dean and Crowley in the bar--yeah, who'd have predicted that friendly conversation a few years ago???
And Crowley kicking Rowena out was gratifying, even considering I am not a big Crowley fan.
I love seeing Dean hustling pool! Since you just saw it and I don't remember it visually, was this the ep where Dean racks up the balls and it was just, "guh!"?
I'd say he is doing a helluva job fighting the Mark's pull for blood at this point, letting Rowena go to save the college kids!
My favorite part of this ep was the scene where Sam and Cas cut Metatron down to size--I agree with everything you said about Sam being scariest as he gets quieter, and how coolly he shoots Metatron and then throws Metatron's smug words back at him. I only wish they had finished him off right then!
Don't think you're going to get the last 5 eps done before hiatus is over, though...
