The recap was very helpful/relevant this episode, yes! It’s always nice when that happens; sometimes it’s just confusing…

Delphine’s introduction was the best. I, too, approve of the stabby :D

I think Sam’s at least partially staying up all night cramming to feel like he’s Doing Something, as opposed to just spinning his wheels. As much as he is probably panicking about being more or less without effective backup on this one, anyway. But, yes, groggy!Dean was awesome. I love the way the last few episodes have given us little moments like this, where they’re just…doing normal routine stuff/being people for a few minutes before they go kick butt, if that makes sense.

You’re probably right, being deprived of his suits was probably super effective torture for Crowley…man, I remember how pissed he was when his tailor got eaten. I wonder if someone told Lucifer about how pissed Crowley was or he just learned from observation or something…

Yeah, I’m trying to decide whether or not I’m brave enough to see how much new Crowley/Lucifer porn there is now…

As for Sam maybe being able to stumble through the French…eh, maybe? I know French and I can sometimes stumble through Spanish, if it’s simple…but, then again, there’s a lot more day-to-day exposure to Spanish in the US than there is to French, so I don’t know how much of it is crossover and how much is just osmosis or whatever…so IDK. I’d probably have gotten a translator or something for something this important anyway, though.

I’m pretty sure Lucifer does genuinely want to shut Amara down, yeah. But I don’t know if it’s as much about removing the competition as, if he lets her run free, there won’t be a world for him to run anymore? Like…he just wants to excise certain parts of it (mostly humanity/other non-angelic sapient entities), but she seems to want to consume everything, and there are parts of existence that he seems to actually like? Or something…

And agreed, Sam possibly should have started getting suspicious when Lucifer came back super crankypants after failing to get on that sub with Dean. But you’re probably right, seeing what he wants to see/wishful thinking/it probably doesn’t even occur to him that it’s possible Lucifer got out that way, so he might notice the weirdness and find some other explanation for it…or figure he can sort out what the shit is wrong there after they’ve fixed the more immediate problem of Dean being trapped alone in the past.

Oh, man, I didn’t even think of the longer-term implications of Lucifer knowing that spell…yeah, even if they did figure out how to fix the warding on the bunker so everyone and their dog couldn’t get in anymore…wouldn’t keep him out.

The heartwrenching dramatic irony of Sam and Dean trusting Casifer is just…yes, heartbreaking, like you said.

And then Lucifer decides this isn’t worth the effort and…yeah, Sam’s face.

But Cas is alive! Tiny, tiny silver lining, but silver lining nonetheless!

Poor Cas, though…man…

Maybe the boys went to that body of water because the Bunker is no longer safe, but the warding on their ribs is still miraculously intact? So they went somewhere remote to try and figure out their next move, somewhere they never took Cas so Lucifer wouldn’t have the location that way…or something…

But, yeah. This episode was pretty awesome. Next week’s looks…interesting? We’ll see…
