Agreed. They really do write Sam inconsistently sometimes. I'd complain about it more, but I always try not to sound like a whiny Sam!girl, not sure if I succeed.
I also didn't even realize until after the commentary that the dastardly duo here wrote the episode where Charlie is killed, so, yeah, EVEN MORE POINTS LOST. Ugh. I'm almost glad that Ross-Leming got yelled at in Rome for it, even though I usually don't like it when people yell at the writers.
And, yeah, I have no idea how they decide which episodes get commentary. It'd be really great for Jensen to do a commentary again - I don't think they've done one since S2 or something ridiculous like that. I guess the boys are just too busy now between the job, the cons, and their families.
