The math is just basic equations - no hidden meaning. I just wanted to have some math in there, because math (and arguably music) is a universal language.
I don't actually remember what the rest says. I know the fractions are excerpts from a scientific article about the genetics of cross-species mating... that was my nod to destiel fans.
Oh! And I just remembered the Arabic! They're sayings in Arabic. I don't even remember what they mean anymore, but I know I went to a website of Arabic proverbs and sayings and I picked all the ones that reminded me of Castiel.
I wonder if I can reverse find their meanings... 1. unity is power 2. you reap what you sow
Hmm, I remember them being cooler than that... oh wait, I ended up just with those because all the other sayings I found didn't fit Cas' mood, because they were too positive/wise for someone who thought he deserved to be in Purgatory and was miserable in general. So, I picked those two, because they were conflicting thoughts - "you reap what you sow" can be used to justify punishing yourself when you feel you've done something wrong, and Cas is very much punishing himself by staying away from Dean. However, "unity is power", I thought was the opposite desire in Cas - the part of him that knows that family/friends should stay together, that they're stronger together...and that by removing himself from Dean, Cas is also doing Dean a disservice, since Dean would probably appreciate having a friend to watch his back.
Yeah, I put a ridiculous amount of thought into two phrases that probably 90% of my audience wouldn't be able to read. :P And the other 10% would just be like "there's another white-girl appropriating our language in an effort to make something look 'exotic'" and then they'd roll their eyes and click away.
But, my original goal was to have Arabic, Hebrew, and Latin in there to represent the three major God-based religions... but I struck out on the hebrew (I think it wasn't a supported font/language in MS Word) and then I decided to just screw it, I guess. But the Arabic stayed.
