Yeah, I think that's what annoys me about a lot of the fic that treats the Winter Soldier like he IS a robot - because, he isn't, he's human the WHOLE TIME. They gave him amnesia and a robotic arm, but they didn't replace his brain with an emotionless unfeeling computer... there's a big difference.
