Oh yeah, my entire point was that it was perfectly reasonable for Dean to be asking Sam if he was okay - especially since Dean knows that they BOTH tend not to admit when they aren't okay.
I mean, yes, it's easier to tell when Dean is not okay, because he's a bit transparent - but Dean still doesn't admit to it, or only does so very rarely anyway and only when pressed.
My point was also, though, that because of those same reasons, it was perfectly reasonable for Sam to ask if Dean was okay as well.
