I never liked version 2 of Meg (maybe it's because I remember watching sweet little Rachel Minor on As the World Turns as a preteen) so your take on the events of this episode really made me reconsider her actions and character. And...I kind of understand her now. Thanks!
I think Crowley has been around a lot longer than the 1700s, and that he set up that cover story to amuse himself as well as throw Sam and Dean off track. I mean...really. Would someone truly trade their soul for a bigger penis? (Of course, I'm not a guy, so maybe I'm missing something and some would.)
I was glad that Naomi got terminated eventually. She was evil, but not in an "I kind of like her despite myself" evil. (Like Crowley, or Meg, or Balthazar or even the YED.) She was just mean and vengeful, and they never showed any redeeming qualities in her.
I love reading your recaps. They make me notice things I didn't the first (or second) time around. I have to admit, this isn't an episode I've rewatched, so I didn't have a lot of thinky thoughts about it. But I may go back now!
