Well you already know that I think that Scott is the strongest character on this show, as compared to Stiles, who seems stuck at the exact same state he was in in s1. Where Scott keeps growing as a person, Stiles still is that same immature brat.
I actually had no issue with Scott's reason for the tattoo. It shows his respect for Allison, allowing her the space to make her own choices, instead of hounding her the way that Stiles has been doing to Lydia for years. (one of the reasons I'm against the Lydia/Stiles ship is because it's basically rewarding him for his entitled behavior towards her. It's like telling guys that if they just keep after a girl, no matter how disinterested she is in them, eventually she'll cave. And that's just not an attitude that should even be hinted at.
