I found stories by clicking on the AO3 Derek\Stiles tag, and ordering by hit count. That was in October, though, so presumably the top stories I read then aren't necessarily the same....
Yes, that's what I've been doing too. I've found some great stories, but even some of the popular ones cut off before the "meet the parent" scene.

I've found that one! The finders community has helps a ton - apparently I'm not the first person to have craved these types of stories. :)
