April Ficlet: So, get this... (Supernatural)

Okay, I didn't have time to write a fic yesterday, and I don't have time to write one today either, but I didn't want to take two days off... so instead you get script-format crack (even though I don't know how to write scripts). 

Today's Prompt: Sculpture Garden

And I know what some of you are thinking; Perfect time to write Doctor Who fic. But I never have written Doctor Who fic and I don't feel like starting when I have no time. So, instead you get pure crack of the Supernatural variety.

So, get this...
(Supernatural, crack, 228 words)

 

SAM:  So, get this - statues are coming to life in the suburbs of St. Paul, Minnesota.

Dean: That’s weird. Sounds like our kind of thing – let’s go.

[cut to shot of white picket fence and a small hedge. Pan up to find Sam and Dean on the outside peering in – shotguns on their shoulders.]

Dean: You have got to be kidding me.

Sam:  According to my research, we just need to get to the stone in the centre of the uh... sculpture garden... and scratch out the curse runes.

Dean: Sculpture garden? Really? That’s what you’re calling this eye-sore?

Sam shrugs and grimaces.

Dean: Well, this should be interesting...

[Camera pans to reveal suburban garden, where every single flower-bed has at least ten different garden gnomes standing in various whimsical poses.]

[As Dean steps into the yard, all the little gnome heads turn slowly towards him – their faces contorting into a look of pure evil.]

Dean: Cover me!

....

[Unknown amount of time later – wide camera shot shows the yard littered with shattered ceramic gnomes. Dean and Sam sit next to a stone in the centre of the garden, visible scratch marks on it. They are bloodied and bruised.]

Dean: I think one bit my ankle.

Sam:  At least you weren’t stabbed by a small fishing rod.

Dean: We are never speaking of this again.

Sam: Deal.

All I can picture is the Travelocity gnome that gets used in The Amazing Race. I always thought he looked a little suspicious.
